Do both of your lenses have the same size filter thread? I use Tiffen, but Hoya, B&W and many other companies make them.The other thing to consider is if you are going to like the look the filter gives. They are great at maximising the colour of an object, but for cars you might not like what they do to reflections.....Let me know what your filter size is and if they are the same as mine i'll blast over one day and we can have a photography day... (stop laughing) I don't want super cheap and nasty but something that is usable and suited to my entry level $500 camera. I am keen for a picture day or as you mentioned "getting the guys together" for a photo day with cars etc. What I am looking for as far as a polarizing goes is to reduce reflections on my windscreen and maybe shooting into water to see through it would be pretty cool as well but I'm not sure what I will get with a cheap filter to be honest. Let's talk about photography « Reply #17 on: March 30, 2014, 11:55:12 AM » The cheap filters will still polarize, they may produce a colour cast but nothing you can't fix.Just remember that when the windscreen reflections go so do the bonnet and roof reflections...I'll check and see if my lenses will fit on your body, what model do you have again? If they do then you can try a few good lenses as well as filters This is an old film scan from the 80's showing my brother in law's old XA GT using a polariserAnd without polariser... Let's talk about photography « Reply #25 on: April 03, 2014, 08:46:14 AM » 3rd time lucky replying to this thread...Nice to see your feminine side mate Still life is all about the light, how did you light this?Here is one of mine, i recently bought 2 elinchrom studio lights, this shot used both lights with 60 cm softboxes placed either side of the subject, from the exif you will see this was shot late morning in a very bright room with bright lights. I saw that photo on your Flickr and that what inspired me towards flowers, did you use a macro lens there?? don't think I will do them again but there natural colours are amazing.
