Title: What happened
Post by: Bird on November 19, 2013, 09:24:12 AM
As it came up a few times;  the latest un-responsiveness of the forum was due to some server side issue, where the parameters never got through apache, so the program was generating the same 'front page' all the time, regardless what parameters were sent from the browser.

They've probably restarted the server before we could act upon it.

Same thing happened to a page I run, noticed xgn had the same problem after troubleshooting. Turns out we are using the same host.
I was informed it was caused by a php upgrade, not sure why it took 3 days to fix. It also only seems to affect people who manually installed software packages. As people who used the softilicious? installers did not seem to be affected as i noticed on another CMS on my host. Strangely annoying but its all resolved now.

well this wasn't a manual software install... I used the auto install feature in the hosting package... ah well fixed now :D

Interesting... I was hoping someone would clarify if it was or not...This is all what the front of house staff advised me so obviously not all entirely correct... Anyway moving along
