Season 13 features rounds of 3, 20 minute, reverse grid sprint races in selected cars from the Japanese Pack (DLC).
Cars
- RX-7 Spirit R
- 370z Nismo
- Supra MKIV
- Skyline GTR R34 V-Spec
Cars are ballasted (RX-7, 145kg and 370z, 115kg) for parity. You'll have to swap between the two groups (RX-7 or 370z, swapping to Supra or Skyline and vice versa) half way through the season to balance out any unfair advantage that might creep in due to the ballast.

Race 1 prac/qual starts at 8:30pm Eastern time, and there is usually a long practice session before that, starting from around about 6:00pm.
Round Format
Each race is a full reverse grid race with no qualifying sessions (only round 1, race 1, has a qualifying session to set start order for that round). Each race in other rounds is in reverse order of championship points standings.
Fuel and tyres are 1x and there are no compulsory pit stops.
Start Lights
We'll use AC's new jump start detection, with a drive through penalty enforced by the game that must be taken in the 1st 3 laps. The PLP start lights will NOT be used. You will need to make sure you have the latest PLP app downloaded HERE (http://xgn.com.au/index.php?topic=758.msg28218#msg28218) to turn the PLP lights off.
Points
Points in each race are 24, 23, 22 down to 1.
Fastest lap in each race gets a 1 point bonus.
Penalties
Every opening lap major infringement (e.g. avoidable rear hits, unsafe track re-entry causing accidents etc), will be awarded 90 kg of penalty ballast for the corresponding race of the next round (90 kg is approximately 10 seconds over the whole race, but the time lost will vary from track to track and car to car).
Weather
Weather will be taken from the local circuit forecast on each actual race day. Races are at 10:00am, 1:00pm and 4:00pm in game time.
Track grip will simulate rainy conditions:
Damp track - 85% grip
Wet track - 75% grip
Very wet track - 65% grip

No, you don't have to choose the second half car yet. I'll be asking again at the time.

@Phil..totally opposite feel for me. Hated the GT86, felt too tight and just couldn't get it to work. These are far more suited to me. Not that I'm real quick, just more fun.

I think these cars are a lot more lively on track than the GT86, and the different cars on track will all have their strengths and weaknesses while remaining close.

The RX7 has the power/weight ratio that the GT86 should have been supplied with but sadly was not...
Was like when I had my MR2... I bought the Aussie delivered NA version... when I finally did the Turbo conversion and kicked myself that I'd taken so long to pull my finger out and do it. :P

I wonder if race format could be qualy each round and race 1 regular order with race 2 and 3 being season revers grid. That way we will get a bit of both styles but you could also make race 1 the shortest if that was the case as these do tend to be more boring. So probably in the end all reverse season may be best and disregard all I said. :)

/client_list (to get your client number)

I will double check the server as possibly there could be an error with a car. I checked the entry list and the first 370 had no ballast, all fixed now so you should be a bit slower in that 370 now. ;)

Hopefully people at the back show enough care passing the slower guys, it may take some more patience and possibly you will be held up but it is racing for position. The guys ahead arent being lapped and have the right to the racing line. All behind need to find a way to cleanly pass those that start ahead in reverse grid races, the only thing that the slowers should try to avoid is turning in too late when someone has already got inside them.
if all try to leave racing room for overlapped cars then the season will be more fun then people getting pushed off the road all over the place.

Just have to be careful where you make your moves. I've been having some great side by side racing here with minimal contact. Near impossible to pass and easy to defend through turns 1-4. Sitting ducks after that if you're way slower like myself. ;)

all good, I am a generous racer! I watch Helicorsa like a hawk, and peeps don't dive bomb here so you will have plenty of opportunities to overtake me, more likely earlier than later! :)

Get my Fanatec back Monday/Tuesday... had to buy a G27 to tie me over... driving gears with it has been hard to relearn so I've held off from driving rx7.
