It won't be any fun without you, Dick! Give it a shot - even if you just sit in pits and rest after a few laps it's worth a shot

Mod Cars / Re: Lamborghini Miura SV« on: October 31, 2014, 07:43:29 PM »Looks great, wonder if Kunos will also buy this mod. Looks good! I've driven around here a couple times - a family friend runs a V8 Race Experience type thing there so we often get free laps I was going to point out some faults (lack of elevation changes), but having watched the video a couple times I think its just how it is in game. It's a fun little track! edit: turns 2 & 3 seem to be slightly off in terms of elevation - it should rise a bit through 2 & 3, drop a tad after 3 and then keep rising after 4. This is a race I had to watch for Racecar Anatomy (a unit at ECU) - I had to write about the car that came 2nd (stupid, I know..which is why I studied finance). All race I was watching this porsche and the ferrari just behind him battle for it. Last corner, last lap the ferrari pulls the old CramDick special and wrecked them both into the sand letting some VX Commo take the win....I lol'd so hard but it did screw up that race report Even so I'm clasping at straws here....it looks freakin awesome and I can't wait to give it a shot! 18

I'll be there! These cars will suit me much better than the last lot
Hopefully Dick joins in too - long races aren't so bad! 19
Assetto Corsa / Re: Steam summer sales.« on: October 29, 2014, 09:31:18 PM »haha! This is great now. No FFB so it feels a bit strange but much easier to drive now. I even found a road and 3 axle truck was kicking the rear out around corners...understeers horribly before that though! Oh yeah, I just saw the FFB and Clutch + H Shifter options...make sure you tick those! Suddenly on par with Euro Truck Sim. I gained .8 seconds per log drop with the H Shifter - who woulda thunk it 20

I'll actually have work off for this one so see you all there! Looking forward to it
edit: didn't realise it was the new season..I've missed so much!!! If a spot opens up I'll jump in but dont want to take the spot of someone who will be there every week 21
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Season 3 round 6: Nurburgring Sprint results« on: October 29, 2014, 10:20:57 AM »Awesome thanks to my team mate and all round nice guy, Cramjet for carrying the team all season. Try harder next season bro!! Hah! We were a lot closer this season - I could barely get in the top 10 for most races. Sorry for all the bumps too, Dick! Hopefully I have better pace next season! First race I left traction control on which really hurt. After that I couldn't get the power down from about mid way through each race, probably due to some overzealous driving at the start. Still, I had loads of fun at the back of the field with some similar paced cars. Best! 22

Assetto Corsa / Re: H-Shifter Speed Boost« on: October 27, 2014, 06:15:07 PM »
My chair is built so the shifter is to my left..not sure how that will play out with the rift when I think all in game cars are left hand drive. The few times I've tried VR it can be a bit disconcerting when things aren't where you think they should be (tables.... legs, hands).
I'd say paddles are quicker when you are slower - once you can master heel-toe and proper rev matching the H-shifter gives a slight advantage. Fair enough, I think. Full damage would be fun too but would definitely result in a spread out field as everybody behind Marty and GB limps home to the pits after the inevitable 1st corner blitz. 25
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Krahl's Dedi Server is up« on: October 24, 2014, 04:21:27 PM »For the guys who have their wifi stolen by other inconsiderate internet users in their household, would it be worth trying Power over Ethernet? I have the modem right next to my PC because I refuse to use wireless when gaming! My partner is on wireless though. I'll play around with the modem settings this evening after work - its a cheapo Huawei that came with my TPG plan. I'm not opposed to getting a better modem as the wifi across the house is crap too. I might even just get the power/ethernet adapters for the Netflix PS3 since the wifi is crappy over that distance. 26

I am 99% sure my warping issues are to do with either the line to my house or my shitty router. I have no issues when nobody else is using the net - it's quite good actually. As soon as my partner fires up Chrome my ping jumps - the more traffic the more jumping/warping I get.
I used to keep the 'net monitor' open so I could see when my ping spiked and avoid any accidents but they seem to have removed that app... Same goes for other games/general internet usage. If more than one person is on it gets crippled. 27
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Season 3 round 5: Imola Results« on: October 22, 2014, 10:19:00 AM »Race one I tried to pass Frosty where there might not have been quite enough roomRace 1. After a decent qualifying at around 6th, it quickly unravelled when I got belted from behind by it would appear Dick and was then hit by a couple of others in the mess and found myself 17th . . nice!. Pushed on then toward the end Cramjet ran into the back of me and spun me for reasons unknown, no redress!! Sorry, Freezer. I can't recall exactly what happened there but I felt any of the taps I made or were made on me were racing incidents given how close we all were - even Tom's divebomb in to the 2nd last corner . In saying that I had no pace in these cars or this track so could have been due to lack of concentration/frustration. But I don't like hitting anyone, ever (unless its team orders to get Dick out of the way), so I do apologise! First race I accidentally qualified on street tyres - once I put it on the semi's it really hooked up and allowed me to work my way through the field a bit. I felt a little over-handicapped but that also has to do with me sucking ass at imola. I had a lot of fun races, mostly being overtaken but making the occasional move if the opportunity presented itself. I do prefer starting at the rear of the grid, assuming everybody's racing cleanly - makes for constant battles and fun 28
Thursday Nights fun racing / Re: Cobra Cup Season 2 Skins« on: October 18, 2014, 02:10:30 AM »
I'm not sure how many races I'll make it to this season. I have to work Thursday nights for the next few months but I will have the occasional one off. Shame as I really enjoy this car and seem to do okay in it. I'll still join in for any practice as its so much fun

Not sure if its something I did but I can't hear any other cars on Marty's server. I can hear my own car but nobody elses which is a bit strange.

I just had a small update through steam - any ideas what they fixed? No change logs or anything.
