Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S241R2 - Kyalami Race Chat« on: September 25, 2018, 11:25:26 PM »
Good haul of points for me tonight all things considered.
Some close racing with ab156, RussG, & Bacchulum. Race 1 was spent getting a feel for the track again. I felt I drove really consistent and to finish 8th was surprising for the effort it took. Although 8th was very fortuitous for race 2. Race 2 I had RussG pressuring from behind while I was trying to pressure Bacchulum. RussG and I were trading paint and Bacchulum started to gap us, then RussG succumbed to the fence whilst attempting a pass. I spent the rest of the race tracking down Bacchulum. I genuinely thought I was in with a chance for a podium when I overcooked the pass and gave Bacchulum a little love tap (so small it didn't even register on the PLP/post race results). From there, drove it home for 4th. A good nights racing. I'm really enjoying these cars and they're producing some great racing. 17
Hardware & Reviews / Re: Fanatec pedal« on: September 25, 2018, 10:04:17 PM »
I have a set of CSRe pedals laying around if your want bits... good working order.
Drivers can be an issue in Windows 10, just reinstall a generic usb driver like Bueller explained. I'm curious to know what the symptoms are? Happy to donate my pedals to a good cause if that doesn't work. 18
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S23R7: Putnam Park Race Chat« on: August 29, 2018, 09:24:31 AM »I'm glad to hear that Bueller came to like the car. That's a common story, where people aren't that keen on a car to start with, but it grows on them. Keep that in mind for future seasons Re watching replays... It is also good to watch from the other persons point of view. There has been times when I was certain I was in the right, and the other person equally so. When changing the view to other vehicle, trying to let go of any bias, you may see their version of events also have merit. I remember a race at Redbull Ring in the Ferrari 599, and after watching from both views I was happy to call it a racing incident. Although prior to that I was sure I was the victim. Maybe it's an optical illusion... maybe it's Spacetime... what ever it is, in the interest of painting the full picture it's worth checking out the view from the other party's car. 19

Many thanks to Wally for putting in the hard work that's required to make the season happen.
Great racing tonight for those that I battled with and my apologies to Freezer for the Race 3 lap 1 incident that you got caught up in. 20

If last night was anything to go by, I'm really looking forward to the battles that will come from this series. Thanks for the shout out Wally, that was great racing. I think it must be one of the only times I've managed a Busiest, Hunter, or Hunted accolade and I got a mix of them in race 2 & 3.
I was surprised at that I placed equal 10th for the round. At 8:20pm I started to download the track, requiring time to have some tucker I didn't start qually till roughly 8:35pm and 4 laps later we're all diving into turn 1 in race 1. A few disappointing own goals during the night put a slight damper on the round but it seems to be a great car that generates very close racing. Bring it on. 22

Only a handful of laps practice, just enough to set gears, tyre pressures, and aero. I was intending to do a lengthy practice prior to qually but my wife alerted me that we had a plans. How could this be? Who is silly enough to make plans for a Tuesday night? Trying my hardest to return in time I managed to jump on the server with about 60 seconds of qually left... impeccable timing
So starting from the back of the grid, with what I thought was minimal (slow) setup, bogged it down... but hey, no one behind me to create trouble so no harm no foul. Not entirely switched over to the racing mindset, I approached turn 2 and braked at my normal braking marker. It did not cross my mind that filing through the chicane would create a jam into T2 . The closing speed on the pack under brakes was having me quickly assess my options, I ducked right, trying to keep all wheels on the black stuff and avoid contact. I Dropped the right wheels on the grass and ended up going straight on to avoid contact, came back on the track ensuring I didn't pick up any places with my little excursion. From that point it was a fun race. Changing places often and executing actual passes, not just being gifted positions. Good quality racing racing from everyone I encountered. I did at some point I had a real amateur moment when I hit Matthew trying to pass him into T1, sorry Matthew. He was exiting the pits and was down on straight line speed, I ducked to the inside to pass in T1, I clearly over estimated the level of grip and washed wide straight into the side of him. Both of us going off but neither of us spun, cost us both a bucket load of time (for me approx. 13 seconds). 24

Assetto Corsa / Re: AC News« on: March 11, 2018, 05:17:51 PM »You can run win 10 without a licence, but you can pick one up at websites like gamesdeal.com for around 35. I'd chip in to help out anyone here for the gameI don't get why some people are being so negative about the game. Seems to me it's an opportunity for them create a new engine which they can then use to deliver AC2 and in the meantime we'll get to see what it's like in ACC. I'll buy it, and I doubt very much it will take long at all for mods to appear.Believe me, if I had the spare cash I'd be all over it, just for the rain. https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/accessibility/2016/07/29/windows-10-free-upgrade-page-for-people-who-use-assistive-technologies/ Just another option... 27

The last vid, the passed car did get a wheel just on the grass unsettling the braking of the vehicle. Source - I am the driver of the passed car.
My apologies for the incident... It would have executed fine if I didn't clip the grass, this comes down to misjudgement/driver error. After all we are only human Simone your entitled to your opinion. Right or wrong I actually found amusing 30
