Which wheel settings are you using Marty?  I'm still using the original FFB preset for G27 from one of the first updates for AC.

Dick I plan to do a few laps Saturday morning if you want a few tips.  Although I've only ran a handful of laps so far with this car and track combo.

you're from QLD guybrush? The crime capital of Australia? Not the bikies, the government!  :o

I'm a West Aussie. The only one here in this group I believe.

So my morning might be a bit later than yours.. In saying that, I do get up bloody early sometimes.

Not quite - I live in Hillarys! Not too far from you I think. I don't claim to be anywhere near as fast as some of the other guys but I'll help you out if I see you online.

Hah, sorry about that Marty. I was showing a friend of mine AC and left him to practice. Came back and he was on the grid with you... he almost got you on the way to the first corner but missed a gear!  I put him on with traction control, racing line, ABS etc but didn't make any difference against you lol.

As long as I've played AC I've never been able to make Silverstone work for me. I just couldn't get a decent lap down, having no pace and being in a Group A meant I qualified poorly and raced even worse!

In saying that I still had a lot of fun at the back. Wasn't quite as clean as my last race up in 8-12 position but I think that made it more fun :p. I must apologise though, when that large lag spike hit (during 2nd race?) I think I hit someone off the road. Although I was totally unaffected I saw them go flying off into the sand just before the last corner.

All in all a good way to celebrate my last exam for my under-grad (how lame am I!) Now I have some time to install all these parts I've accumulated for my own e30................325i :(

Yeah I had a lot of fun in the pack. Race 1 I had a good biff with Marty and a few others - decided to let him through...such pace. I found my tyres degraded pretty badly but I managed to hold on for 9th after a few people in front ran off.

Race 2 I lost all sound as soon as I entered the car (with 10 seconds before race start - no time to fix it). Made for some interesting moments but it taught me to feel the car through the wheel a bit better. I had a spin on the final corner towards the end of the race - had a strange sensation like I was being pushed but nobody was around. The back just stepped out and kept on going - having no sound definitely didn't help.

Overall I'm quite happy with my position, if I could qualify as well as I practice I would have started a bit further up but that's just part of the game!

I'm in for sure. Might have to miss the Silverstone round due to an exam. Nice car choice too!

Hey guys my real names Craig. I'm 23 from Perth and currently finishing a Bachelor of commerce majoring in Finance. Other than that I work part time with a bank and a small business and donate some time to various charities.
I've really only simraced in iRacing briefly, never got too far due to lack of commitment. When I found out AC MP was coming I built a racing seat with adjustable chair and pedals (based round a G27) which now sits alongside my PC desk.
Other than that I daily drive my VX commodore, but have an '87 e30 325i that I am in the process of fixing up - next is the driveshaft centre support bearing - after that it should be sweet. I do all the work to these cars myself.
I enjoy watching the V8's because they don't take themselves too seriously. F1 is good in small doses.
Seeyou on the track (no doubt in your rearview mirror)!

I'll jump in on the KTM to start. Not sure how long I'll be able to hang around as I've got a big assignment due Friday morning but I'll do my best. Looking forward to it!

Ok, so that was strange.

I had just finished my second lap of the race and was shot into the air or something and sent back to the pits. Took off again and evidently crossed the line into my third lap. I guess that's an exploit but I did not do it intentionally!

Pretty fun race otherwise. First lap was much cleaner (from what I saw) than I would have imagined.

Great, thanks a lot.

I'm waiting for ADSL to be hooked up so using 4g at the moment, will join the next practice to test it but may have to wait until the nets hooked up for a real race.

Seeya on the track!

I joined here just now since I saw the XGN server in AC. I play a fair bit of iRacing and am looking for some clean racing with low pings, could I possibly be PM'd the password too?
