Title: Cobra Cup Season 5 Announcement

"Cobra Cup" has become synonymous with Thursday Night Fun Runs. Even though Season 4, now Season 5, represents a change of pace to an entry-level race car we will retain the "Cobra Cup" series title to signify the spirit of casual, relaxed racing. (And a subliminal message that the Cobra will return.)

Start Times All times are EASTERN  STATE time.

Practice: 7:00pm
Qualifying: 8:15 pm
Race: 8:30 pm
 
Points
Individual driver points in each race are 24,23,22,21,20 etc. down to 1.
 
Rules
* Track Limits. The official AC track cutting penalty system will be used. You must keep at least two wheel within the track boundary, typically delimited by white lines.
* Redress. If you gain position advantage over another driver by colliding with them such that their car leaves the track, or by cutting the track yourself, you are expected to redress your position as soon as safely possible. Gaining position by "reasonable" side-by-side contact is allowed, but rear collisions must be avoided. This won't be enforced. It is an honour system.
* Track Re-entry. You must always re-enter the track with extreme caution. Any collision on re-entry must be redressed.
* Assists. Driving assists like ABS and TC can be used if available on the car. There is no forced driving view.
* Fuel/Tyre Multiplier. 100%
* Damage. 30%

 Sadly I will have to miss the first three rounds so  a reserve is welcome to take my place.
I am having some surgery done and I should be OK by the second round.

Sorry you will be unable to make the first round, well keep your spot as is and we can acommodate a reserve there.

Try this, maybe.  Not a track-specific one.  I can't remember what I've changed, it was created when we had a fun run in the Alfa GTA.

When I tryand join server I get "checksum error" What does that mean and how do I fix it?

Just noticed I have 2 lippo ccts downloaded, one called lippo cct and one called lippo village. Which one are we using?

A tough track for me at least, it seemed easy, but I failed repeatidly on the turn 1 entry
turn 3 exit, and of course with a straight that long, getting a bad exit meant a lot of lost time!
Once again, GB's setup helped and believe it or not a PB on the LAST LAP of race 2!

Many a great battle with rooshooter, Grubbet, Joe and Imp and I am sure others when I get time to have a good review.
Had a quick look at the replay this morning and have to compliment Dick again on the effort with the skins, they really add to the immersion.

I had a little lapse of memory last night and remembered too late that round 3 next week, Brands Hatch, then the "bye"

Results page seems to be a bit flaky. When I could see it, I doubted it's authenticity and accuracy.

As I recall, I came 1st, 2nd and 3rd in both races.  :o

PS yeah, the home-made skins are great. You can tell who is behind you in your mirrors from far off. And seeing guybrush's bonnet hello kitty fill your mirrors is a strange kind of intimidation.
