Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Fun run - Lotus 98T at Hockenheimring GP« on: April 28, 2020, 09:48:16 AM »
Tried it out last night. Yeah, I'm pretty sure this 98T and me won't become buddies...lacking patience...and driving skills...

Yeah, that was a messy one...sure I gotta take the blame for at least a couple of accidents.
So my apologies to the guys affected. Race 2 was actually quite good, but the rest I better forget quickly. Bad accident in race 3 made me calling it an early night. It was a good and fun season...a pity especially Wally had to suffer from a few mistakes of mine towards the end. Thanks Wally for your efforts...next one (hopefully not with a fixed setup as it is being discussed atm) 138

I haven't had the time to try ACC...so I'm still keen on a GT3 season

Good start in race one, but I think I got hit (can't remember, something went wrong anyway) in the first turn, went off and lost a lot of positions because of that.
Well, big apology to Wally for the nudge...I screwed it Yeah, probably was a bit overly keen after the messy start and made a number of little mistakes in races 1 and 2. Race 3 was good. It's a fun track...works well with these cars. Cheers 140

Great videos...thanks. Yeah, lots of close battles with ab156 and Wally. I only had to shoot Wally off once to let him know he's too slow...otherwise he's been fast...too fast actually
Didn't manage to work out what tyres were better, but I think the mediums worked well. Cheers 141

I think it took me about half an hour to do a valid lap when getting on the server an hour before the race.
It's a difficult track. Qualy was good and the start of race 1 as well...even had Joe behind me...well, for a short time anyway. Lost 2 positions due to an incident and then chased Wally...got pretty close, but wasn't able to pass. Was thinking changing to mediums during race 1 and 2, but wasn't brave enough...they got pretty hot while doing just a few laps before qualy. Really happy with the results considering the lack of practice. 142

Bloody hell...you're closing in on me in the last couple of laps really fast. Funny, we're changing position twice at the same spot for the same reason Yeah, the races went a lot better than I was expecting to. I was in the high 20's before I joined the server on Tuesday...and still didn't know whether the coming turn was a left or right one at some spots. Cheers Jarmel for your help finding a better line. Did you notice, the first lap after that got me about 1.2s? Not too shabby I thought. Glad to see someone else winning for a change. Was fun racing...cheers. 143

Well, expected to see myself at the bottom end of the grid, but somehow I figured out how to get around this track.
Once you get a bit of a feel for where to brake and what line to take this track is actually fun. In race one I gave Wally an easy pass. I was distracted by I don't even know what, forgot where I was and slowed down at a spot where it wasn't necessary...haha...getting old too Otherwise quite a bit of good, close racing with Phil. Lost a few positions in race 2 due to the incident with ab156, but luckily enough damage was probably just minor...guess the front wing may have suffered a bit. So I went for a chase for Wally and got him at the end of the race, but no chances to pass. Yeah, age ballast, good idea...would get my vote as well Cheers 144
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S32R3 - Circuit of the Americas« on: March 16, 2020, 08:26:51 PM »I think the quali times will be mid 52's. oh, that's encouraging. Done a few pretty pathetic laps last night...only have to find 9s somewhere However, thanks for sharing this. 145
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S32R2 - Brands Hatch GP« on: March 11, 2020, 09:48:03 PM »
Well, guess my lap times weren't really too impressive, but I managed to work out a set up which made it possible keeping the car on track...well, except this one incident when I went a bit wide onto the grass and was passed by 3 or 4 guys. However, they were friendly enough to return this favour so I ended up on 2 again.
I was lucky as I haven't had a car right in front of me too often...was really hard following a car closely I found. Very challenging track for these cars...was fun. Cheers 146

It was some good racing. I was happy with my starts and the fist laps, but then it always took me some time to find a rhythm...and Joe managed to build up a pretty decent gap while I was struggling along making little mistakes here and there.
However, I'm pretty happy with the results. Cheers 148
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Looking to make a new team for new season any takers ?« on: March 01, 2020, 10:25:53 PM »
I like the idea, but when it comes to myself I've got to say I'm a bit time poor...at least at the moment. Running my own business things can change though. Let me know if you want to go for a better-than-nothing option. Sorry, just wouldn't want to promise too much...but still see the benefit

Fixed setup?! Why just for these cars and not the others? Not really a good idea imo.
Would be good for Joe as he's generally good on default. I'm pretty average at setting up cars. It's sometimes not about making them fast (think I'm failing at that too often), but just driveable. 150

Modern formula season would be something different and good for a change.
