Has anyone tried the rally x mod from race department? I haven't, but it kinda looks like it'd be cool. I have no idea what dirt is like in ac though

It really helps to be on TS, even if you only listen, 'cause Phil makes it up as he goes. ;D
Should have been on ts last night, damn flu and just finished 7 night shifts. Only won the first race because of a few accidents in front of me (and using slicks). The second race was a shocker because of a few accidents in front of me...that I couldn't avoid. Got stuck on the inside of turn one by the end of the race. Fun night thanks guys

Could I join please? I'll probably miss a round because of my work roster if that's ok

I am :(  what are you playing,   I play BF1 most nights after a drive and thinking about getting lawbreakers atm :)
Cool, any of you guys can add me on origin if you like. Same name, I still get on bf1 a bit, not as much now that some friends have moved to pubg (couldn't get into that one). Play the occasional round of overwatch and used to finish a night off with a round or two of rocket league...don't you judge me lol☺️

WOW what a race night. Hard to get to sleep after that sweat pouring, heart pumping action lol. Racing is what it is about and mid pack is where its at.
R1 two words DIE_HARD, or maybe Die Harder sums it up. I just couldn't get past him, I tried out braking, I tried switch back, I tried everything to get past even stuck my nose up the inside a couple of times. He wouldn't give up the spot and kept closing the door, I could have easily ended our race had I been too desperate for another position (I think that's where sim racing kinda falls short, no REAL consequence). BUT pure heart pumpin' action it was since I had doobs smoking my tail pipe the whole time. AWESOME!
R2 Just like the first race, mid field. Started 8TH and quickly fell back while aboard the two wide 9000rpm freight train through the first few corners. Managed to gain a few spots back. Right on Matts' tail I could see him sliding around a bit so patiently waiting for my opportunity. Then it knocked, He ran a little wide at turn 1, I pounced, we both locked up. Door panels came together, paint traded and we carried on. He still had the position and the only time lost was from our lock up. Couple more laps and I got past, only to run wide on the last turn and get a wheel out on the grass. Almost spun and surprised I never took anyone out. There goes those spots I'd pushed hard to get, sweat is now pouring. Start the fight all over, but here comes Russ in the rear view, I let him through thinking if I can stay close I can follow him back through the pack...no chance, he's gone. Managed to gain a few spots back on my own. Lap 29 (I think) OUT OF FUEL! The fuel estimator said 35l was enough, I heard you guys say 45? thought I just heard wrong and went with what the game suggested. Race 2 report says three contacts, I only felt the one with Matthew111 so the other two must be indicative of just how close and exhilarating the racing was for me. Can't wait to do it again.
Big thanks to Wally and Phil for letting me join in.
Honourable mentions for the thrill of racing and keeping it clean, Diehard (with a vengeance lol) Doobs, Matthew111, Freezer, slow_as just to name a few.
I've put a little effort into this write up to remind everyone what racing is REALLY about (for those that are ready to quit) and not just winning at all costs (for those that may have caused some big offs)
 :) Peace, Bueller

Hey Wally, I'll be away for work again so I'll miss 17/8 and 22/8. but definitely in for THURS 31/8 and TUES 5/9 if there's racing, thanks

Thanks for letting me race with you guys it was great (racing as firebolt, but changed it for next time). I was way off the pace due mostly to a steep learning curve with that car and track combo. Had a little bit of practice after the race and managed a 59.9 with consistent 1.00 so would have been even better race (for me) had I had a little more time to practice beforehand. Looking forward to joining in some more when work permits and of course grid availability. Thanks again, bueller.

Cool thanks guys, my work roster will only allow me to race fortnightly. I'm back home tomorrow and hope I can get everything set up for it

Is there room for me 15th? Also tomorrow 10th Aug

The fanatec wheel base will be a step up from the g27, with force strength and customisable profiles. But the basic fanatec shifters are not nice, cheap plastic feel and loud clicky switches. Clubsport pedals with load cell are way better than the logitech. Had a fanatec turbo s, sold because I didn't use it much, now have a g920 and right now seriously thinking about going back to fanatec (the clubsport v2.5)

Hey, keen to join in on some local racing, my back story is almost identical to gymnastichippo except my two girls and I are a bit older. I'm not super fast but respectful on the track. I do prefer modern gt or formula style driving with paddle shift and left foot braking, but still enjoy a good bit of nostalgic clutch and h-pattern, just never put the effort in to get good at it.
Thanks bueller
