The ONLY difference between the RX-3 and Escort is 4 gears, 5cm narrower and 10cm shorter with inertia to match. Pretty cool that the differences can be felt. Though it makes it bloody hard to calculate BOP. Logged I always knew the Sun shone out of my arse. Kept on losing the car on the entry into the right hander after the pit straight. Only to realize on the final few laps that I was triggering the pit lane speed limit by going to wide on entry Also well done to some of the newer drivers, some hard but clean battles. A change fro 25% to 50% on the coast side of the diff helped a lot for the second race. Never really got to see if there was a better lap time in it but much more consistent.Race 1 was uneventful, I was glad to finally get the '13 that I was chasing, I think I need up doing the same lap time twice.Race.2 was fun. Wife is away on business, the cat came in and jumped on my lap as we were doing the warmup lap (would normally yell and get "service" ) so had to quickly jump out of the seat and lock it out by which time the "green" had been called, In some ways it probably helped as the field had spread out a little by the time I caught up. Had some good racing helped by Bacchulum having a few bumps along the way. Had one moment where I lost the rear trying to pass AGK, as I tried to redress there was a mess behind - hope I didn't cause. Finally chased down Phil with 1 lap to go, didn't think I was going to get there a his lap times were falling in the last 1/3 of the race.Off to Sundown, a place I know well. Racing will be intense there.... better get that rear end stable.
