Would it be possible to modify the plp app for time trials, for recording and letting it be known when people put a wheel off or have a spin.
Time trials in iracing are fun I think and help my consistecny. They do it by how ever many laps 15 or 20 mins take and average the laps starting from first flyer. any wheel off, spin or accident and you have to start laps again.
Could be fun and something to do with the lack or public server action.

Like a whole new app that does this averaging and keeps PBs? That sounds doable.

I'm making good progress on this. You can set how minutes you run for, and the app displays:
Current lap time
Last lap time
Average lap time
Time left in session.
It will keep PBs per car/track/session time.
It uses the same ”wheels out” rules as the PLP app.

Here is an app which lets you do time trials, where you try to beat your record for a car and track by setting a better average lap time of clean laps, over 15 minutes. If you go off-track, your 15 minutes starts again. This is a good way to improve your consistency.
The app keeps records by car, track and session time - e.g. you will have different records over 10 minutes and 15 minutes.
The app uses the same cut-track detection as the Pit Lane Penalty app and the RSR rank app. It doesn't rely on AC penalties.
The app displays:
- Session time left
- Current lap time
- Last lap time (green if below this trial's average; red if above)
- Average lap time (green if below your Personal Best; red if above)
- Personal Best lap time (for this car/track/session time)
Your time trial is finished when your time runs down to 0:00 and you complete the lap you're on. When your time trial is finished, restart the game session to start a new time trial.

Its awesome wally, Thanks again. Now to try and figure out how to run a TT comp. Any suggestions on how to keep times for a weekly/season winner. would be cool to use the same track we race on tuesdays or thurdays each week.
I might have to get a new amazon server and ask for help setting it up Joe :))))

We could initially just create a topic in the forum with everyone posting their own results as a reply. The first post in the thread can then tally the latest results and announce the track/car combo for the week.
