Finish of race 2.  Well done Kcender, great fun.

Great race man - good times - knew that would be a drag race at the end and just bet on hopefully having more grip on the outside :P

Thanks everyone for the season and Wally for admining!

Sorry guys - thought the wheel would be back and operational but the relay we are waiting on to repair the servo drive is still didnt arrive today - enjoy!

Unfortunately cannot complete :( Argon in the OSW has decided to start sending 300v to the earth cable and not the wheel motor ... which makes for .... 'shocking' force feedback....

Ill see myself out :P

I just couldn't keep up, I would get past people in corners and then get passed on the straights or was held up in corners and lost it down the straights losing even more time, half way through race 1 I knew it was going to be a dropped round and just did laps

I know I was one of those drivers where you had that scenario.

If anyone has Race 2 replay files would be greatly appreciated. I've got the settings sorted out now so should be right in the future. Had some great close racing with KCender87; finished with a 0.07s margin (he trumped me). snagged this out of the 2 minutes of replay footage I saved locally.

That was a rather stressful sprint to the line - I knew I had noting up the straight - my only hope was to make you weave a little more than I did :P good race sir

Last night was the first time I had used Oculus Rift in AC, actually just got it delivered last Friday and had used it in iracing on the weekend for the 24hr lemans. It was quite an experience to have VR running last night in the close battles that I was involved in. Really exciting stuff!
Cool! You mind me asking what GPU you are using and how it goes with Oculus? I have a 980 and I fear it would not be enough...

From my understanding you'd be ok. You'd probably have to turn a few settings down to get the 90fps, but AC isn't really that demanding on GPU.

Yep - I second that - Rift here too but running on gtx970 - whack most of the setting down as I find it less important to read signs and count blades of grass than having silky 90fps - 980 will be fine sir

Q1 and R1

Had 25% sock in the intake so ran williams spec slippery low downforce set (literally 0 rear wing) to try to find some speed on the straights. Sadly with the wind blowing another way, I lost any wind based assistance in sector 2 and all the high downforce sets gains some help in 1 and 3 putting me well off the pace.

It was all for the best though delivering a 16 lap battle with Phil - we were swapping positions every lap (more than once per lap often) and managed to run side by side through every turn but for Eau Rouge and Pouhon - ended in a drag to the line out of the final new bus stop with the grip going to phil on the outside line - best racing ive had in a long time - bumped wheels a few times which was great too.

R2

Took that sock out of the intake and magically changed the direction of the wind and the car was a rocket - 303 up Kemmel with no DRS and fair grip in sector 2. Massive run out of Raidillon on lap one grabbed the lead and was luckily able to hold it.

Great week- thanks for the race fellas

Hey all - mic was dead during race for some reason :P I think good race all round but for my self induced off through the compression on final turn in race one. Then found a big impact after turn one a few laps later after avoiding a sausage kerb victim :P

race 2 - not sure if my fault turn 1 exit? I was in the middle of 3 wide and suddenly the gap wasnt as wide as the car and closed before i could nail the brakes to pull out - Ill let the stewards investigate that one :P Otherwise good run to the finish and good run with Matt over final 2 laps for 2nd....which he got :P

To Belgium!

Dead keen for an enduro series in these cars. A large field on somewhere like Spa will bring traffic, an evolving track and strategy all into play with each other over 2 hours and really create a great race - Tuesday after next in Belgium?

Great fun this one - knew Marty was going to have some proper consistent pace so had to do some strategy math to create a buffer. Math suggested a 2 stopper with softs the whole race would end up 5 - 8 seconds faster over the 15 laps than 1 stopper and meds. Trade off is the tyres start to go a bit sloppy half way through the pit in lap (ie 3 times during the race) - benefit is you can run a lower average fuel weight but any real mistake would negate the benefit of the strategy. Risk seems to have paid off. Congrats to everyone that made it through the laps - the concentration for a 2 hours stint here is right up there. 24 hour with driver swaps anyone? (that is a joke - please do not do a 24 hour race :P)

as an update - ill have the 650 sirs - rift is back time for qualli

Im in for this - but waiting on the rift to arrive back form replacement in Hong Kong - heres hoping Fedex doesn't go all Castaway and its back in tome for the enduro!
