NVme .2  is  are good  I have 2 x 500gig ones I use for games storage ( triple A titles), they make the games load faster no real gaming performance apart from that.  For my boot drive i used a 128gig ssd drive is ample .  But I am ocd and only intall apps and windows to my boot drive.  Downloads go to a hard drive.

Pro tip I heard with SSD's and NVme's is you don't defrag them . It reduces their life cycle .

Also Nvme comes in different flavours , makes sure it has the .2 there is also some other things with them to look out for that i can't think of atm.

Quick question  how long between cpu upgrades are you planning  ?

For right now , the 9600k is a slightly better option . But if you don't plan to upgrade for close to 3 years a 3600x will come more into its own as it has  multi threading , 6 core 12 threads.

Another thing to contemplate is the 3080's are going to be hard to get for quite some time still , so maybe jump up to a 10600k or a 5600x  the later which will have gen 4 pcie mobo.  When the 3080s are actually available you may be able to stretch the budget to accommodate the better cpu's now ??

As well as I am presuming Nvidia is going to release new cards to fight back against the new amd cards.

If you upgrade every 2 years ignore my 2 cents and go for what ever you want , but if you upgrade 3+ years the amd cpu's do age better than the intel in regards to the 9600k v 3600x due to multi threading advantage.

edit:  ps  Prices are high atm so waiting a few months may well save you quite a bit, but i understand the i want it now factor also

I am expecting this to cost in the thousands (but i have no idea )  , as its not a replica its the actual BMW wheel they use in their race cars.

Happy racing.  :)

I'm not convinced yet either , Dan Suzuki  did a you tube clip on them running with triples to test them out and the gains were highly disappointing .The games  he tested seemed to be more cpu limited than GPU limited so the 30 series gains were pretty much non existent over the 2080ti in ACC .  I'll try find the clip and link it here.

Lets hope the new AMD cards are more gaming focused and lead to better results , crosses fingers.

*cough* wreakfest *cough*  :o

Actually, might save that for holiday season

Yes there will be a bit of contact no doubt.  8)

Just a couple of fun runs for something different. I'm going to test it out tonight see how AC handles rallyx tracks apparently I read somewhere that AC doesn't actually model gravel roads properly its just gives them less grip.

Not sure yet, got over a month to sort it out

For the car/cars hopefully some older rally car preferably, but might have to go modern car if they don't cut it compared to a modern rally x car

Have had a quick look and there is a few mods tracks so hopefully they are fun to drive.  I've found that the more open tracks tend to be more fun than the tight and twisty tracks.

Will be more like fun runs than a proper season , do a couple of weeks and if its well received then do a couple more .

My Sons girlfriend got me playing some rally x on PC2 and was quite fun so curious as to how it would be in AC.
