Title: Another Kart fun run - Sep 20
Post by: Wally on September 14, 2022, 01:18:21 PM
More of Seanus' karts:
Arrow IAME 175cc (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-A0oxxk7jk7jSmDHe7N4XfxpHLlBWyGg/view?usp=sharing)
Shifter Kart Jr (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-8edRmt6NC5yfmmcZJLazWQb4pbIh3nk/view?usp=sharing)
Superkart 250cc (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MxC4GNtBunww6nv71aExuxIqoY1MmiH0/view?usp=sharing)

Track: Tor Poznan Kart (https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/tor-pozna%C5%84.6118/)

Some 15 lap races in each kart. The track is a compromise for all 3 karts - too long for the Shifter Kart Jr, too tight for the Superkart to really stretch its legs, but a near enough fit for all three karts on the night.

Let's try and get a few more turning up, to give these fun karts a good go.

All Karts final update.  version 20220920
Much less grip change with pressure so feel free to chase the tyre temperature or handling bias.

It's fun, but feels more like a little rocket car compared to the 125 cc shifter kart, which feels more "kartish" to me.

A 250cc would be found on a full size circuit. ;)

Arrow IAME 175cc (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-A0oxxk7jk7jSmDHe7N4XfxpHLlBWyGg/view?usp=sharing)
Shifter Kart Jr (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-8edRmt6NC5yfmmcZJLazWQb4pbIh3nk/view?usp=sharing)
Superkart 250cc (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MxC4GNtBunww6nv71aExuxIqoY1MmiH0/view?usp=sharing)

All three Karts updated. All with adjustable Caster.

Shifter Kart Jr now renamed to 'IAME Sreamer III'. Has the same engine performance but different chassis to the Shifter Kart, which itself has been renamed to 'Vortex ROK Shifter'.

Yes, takes barely 20 seconds longer to lap the full size Tor Poznan.

Cool, we need more adjustment. ;)

Is it possible to make the front/rear wheel tracks adjustable?
Or is this a fixed definition of the car?
Adjusting the wheel track is the main balance differentiator in a kart.....

Game crashed with all 3 updated karts.
All different reasons. :(

Yes, was trying to fix it. Seems hitting anything with enough force hangs the physics engine then crashes the audio but not the game. I could still exit the game as normal.

CSP does the Caster but can't do Track width.

Looks like CSP is not causing the crashes but I will need to do more testing.

Mea Culpa, turns out my tyre/load curves finished at 300kg, anything above that went straight to the moon. Now set to two tonnes, all good so far. TW
