5 minute Qual' into first race of 10 minutes worth of laps, calculated for each track, followed immediately by the inbuilt reverse grid race.

Break of 5-10 minutes

Rinse repeat.

So im new here and interested in joining these thursday nights sessions.

I can find much about what i need to do etc?

Anyone give me some tips?

Just jump in anytime on any server for practice.
Thursday race sessions start at 7:30 for an 8:30 race start.

Really the only rule is 'do as you would be done by' and 'have fun'

Well was good fun first night.
I did get taken out in 3 of 4 races unfortunately.
Im not the fastest on the track but i like to give racing room.

Does everyone use proximity meters to alert you where cars are around you? Its a really good tool.

Some nights are like that. I did see Scotty as a new VR user commit the sin of no peripheral vision and cart someone straight off the track.

But the aim is to not let it get to you, there's plenty of good racing to offset the clusterfucks.
Not to say we could always do better, but that, noone does it on purpose, so to forgive is divine.

I use 'Car Radar' myself, and unlike many have it in the centre of my screen. It's so good you can usually see when others haven't seen you and often avoid them.

... i had a Jaguar in the centre of my screen for most of one of the races....
