As to be expected, a very nice, top quality release.
I love these guys.

However, the timing at Watkins...:/
I did a 1:25 after a few laps, it's really fun.  But the program has registered a valid 0:28 ffs.

Watkins isn't a Kunos track though...

Not an easy car to drive, again (on street tyres, at least). Honestly... were all cars of this era such crap to drive? Or were men just men back then?

They weren't slot cars if that's what you mean ;)

I mean cars that were actually designed to not have the rear of the car trying to overtake the front at every opportunity.

A classic, rear engine, feel Wally. :o

Wally, that problem only exists on braking with this car.  When you're on the throttle - if you take a bit of care - it's as well planted as anything.
At least that's what I found.  It can be a tricky bastid to put through bendy braking areas, though.  A little (or a lot of) throttle while braking helps.

Shifted the Ruf to the Donington track and dropped on a couple the new Cobra Competition and a 427 SC.

Had a bit of a drive when I got home last night. There were a couple of brothers online crashing the RUF. Looked like they were having some fun. ;)

that's cool... happy they were having fun, no probs with crashing out themselves :)  I will jump on this arvo and put in a couple of laps in both the new cars...

I was in masochist mode: H-shifter and clutch, 90's street tyres, default boost. I was babying the car around, and if I proffered more than a queef to the throttle, the rear would come around. I know it's my own shortcomings and not the car's. It's not a car I would choose to drive for fun.

I'll try semislicks and 10% boost... i.e. granny mode.

Wally, the masochist part of that statement is the "H shifter". Tried it with mine and the fun factor ended pretty soon. Either blowing up gearboxes (within the first few laps) or losing the back end because I cant heel and toe. I HATE the way AC has modeled the H shifter.

Well, I own the wr at Donington with a 1:43.78 for now...but it was too easy to last :)
It's annoying that you can only go for RSR and friends leaderboard offline, really.  Bloody annoying.

Btw I can't find the boost in configs...what are you talking about?

It's keyboard numbers 1-0 in the 98T (1=10%, 0=100%).
I haven't tried it in the RUF yet though.

That's what it is in all the cars that support it, like the BMW 1M.

Thanks guys.
Defaults to 100?  'cause then I don't want to change it :)  It's only the 1st gear that's too powerful, really.

You never know i may have the WR as my stupid RSR is not connecting to the server. ..
But maybe not :)

If you have it on the friends leaderboard, I'll give it you you still! :)

I've done 1:46 and 1:17 respectively with %100 boost. Bird and Ed Wood are too quick for me by about 3s at the GP layout.

Well I've got to 1:44.1 at Donington. Semislicks, 100% boost (OK, damage off too, to save my gearbox, but teaching me bad habits).

Just getting back into ac. Loving this car. WR at national. 1:44 on out lap at full track. Haven't been able to hold a lap they way I want it there yet. The last two hairpins don't suit this car!

Got home last night and had a spin in the RUF for the first time.  It's Ok.  I didn't find it overly difficult...  The temptation to drift is overwhelming though as it seems to be a very recoverable car.   I still prefer the F40 much more.  The RUF seems a little sloppy or something.  I can't quite put my finger on it. Still a bit of fun though.

And proffering a queef that is gentle in nature is the way to go!  Although I couldn't help exercising the fulleextent of my rectal forces in some of those long corners at Vallelunga and get the rear out of shape.

Shouldn't a poet slow down and enjoy the scenery!!
Or does GB work on a more abstract level, involving a lot of blurred imagery  :D

I dont think the car is difficult to drive, quite a bit of fun but for me Im the opposite to Guy and much prefer it over the f40. The ruf you can give much more of a thrashing but I feel I need to baby the f40 around a bit more. Being beld up by Guy at Vallelunga for a few laps was good fun trying to find a way around.

Havent tried it on Donington yet but will give it a go today if anyone is on the server.

I just noticed the XGN server with the Ruf at Donnington must also have a couple Cobra's in the entry list, I dont have any other then the mod versions installed. Yet the server only has Ruf available so whoever is running this one may want to fix this, also donnington has quite a few more grid spots but not that its likely to get so many on this server.

I will DL the mod version of the cobra anyhow as I think there has been an update and I assume this wont have any effect on the release version.

yep the server has the new mod versions "Competition" loaded as well as the "Solitude" track.
