Because Monza66 has 25 pit bays, I have room for two of the following, whoever can make it:
-
There is room for all of them. I'm going to be away with work again next week Wally so will miss tthe first round :( I love the 49 around old Monza as well.

Bad luck Guybrush. OK,
Are all on the grid for Monza66!

My setup for this combo is in the droopbox as well. Good for a 1.29.2 so far with limited running.
-
Running last night on the practice server was a bit trick - there were a lot of mobile chicanes out there! Was it like that back in '66?
It is really tricky to overtake even a much slower car. Seems like there is only one line around the track and if you get off that line you risk spinning.

Thanks GB. I think I am already using an adaptation of one of your old setups for this combo so your latest setup will be useful. Your recent setups have been a little more difficult for me to drive however. Are you tuning more 'radical' lately?

Yeah, I think with improvements in the FFB and tyre model I am getting more feel from the car and can handle more unstable setups, which are usually faster. Also learning all the time about setups and getting more used to this sim-racing thing :)
Usually the easiest way to make a setup a bit more stable is to put on more rear negative camber, or soften the rear springs.

Hey GB how to i find your dropbox?

Have a look in the sticky setup thread in the main Assetto Corsa forum.

1:30.1 PB here. That very fast left hander heading towards Parabolica is key. I can't quite take it flat. I have to lift just a fraction.

There's a big tree on the right, if you turn left into the corner just a few metres after that and lock it in and let it understeer though the corner you should be right. You don't have to reef it into the corner though.
That's with my setup anyway.
-
1:29.8 just before on the XGN server, this is the funniest car ever especially on the AC tracks. Yes that fast left hander is interesting as is kind of difficult to pin point the braking mark,i usually got that steel rail on the right, when I am at the end of it.........I steer ::),but I have to lift too
-
Three different times of day over the three sprints makes picking the brake marker interesting too.

Wally, with great sadness i have to announce I may not make it tomorrow and I definitely can't make next week - I'll be away. The week after is also up in the air a bit.
So please replace me with a spare for this season. It seems I'll be on/off quite a bit.
Thanks!

Bad luck, Bird. I know you would have enjoyed the '49.

I love it. I may still be able to make the first round if there are spots, but my ability to race will be rather flaky during the season so I'd rather someone else gets a full run :)

Well I'll leave you on the grid for round 1 as some are away and Monza66 has 25 spots.
-
ok, thanks!

Hope to see you on track Bird, I will also miss the last 2 races as I will be away from 21st of feb should be a fun season in the races I get to jump in with in these cars.
-
Wally, from ready back through the thread, there is a space for me. Correct if wrong.
If I get home in time to put some serious practice in, I would like to have a run tonight.
cheers, Bruce.

I dont think contact in open wheelers is ever a good thing, one plus is no aero to damage and even if you break that windscreen its not a huge deal either. Realistically most wheel to wheel contact should damage suspension but AC is still a bit soft on most damage from larger impacts it just gets nasty with soft car to car taps but lets you get away with murder in most other situations even at 100%.
