Had a bad night tonight which took a toll, but congrats to Bacchulum for the win and Mael for finishing 3rd!Looking forward to next season Logged Shameless_1 Sr. Member Posts: 326 Karma: 1 Re: Round 10: Thursday 15th December - Brands Hatch GP « Reply #32 on: December 15, 2016, 10:02:36 PM » Thanks Phil for an awesome season. What an ending. Race 1 I was in shock to finished 6th with only a few bruises and scratched paint but no offs or spins for a change. I was expecting to have a lonely race at the back of the field. Tapped AJ in the butt in opening lap on turn 3 and then came around the corner to see Mael facing the wrong way and managed to not hit a stationary car for a change. Had fun holding off guys that had spun off and I had passed, had a close call with Mael who owes me a respray lol. I'm just happy I placed before unfuckn for a change race 2. slow start as usual.. got swamped.. I tapped Joe? (sorry) trying to keep the car on the track under brakes. Then had Seanus catching me as I was catching rooshooter, and next thing I know we are 3 wide into turn 2. I was the piggy in the middle and I backed off to give them both room or Seanus would have pushed me into rooshooter and forced us both off. Unfortunately as we came around to go down the hill I had not backed off enough and rooshooter started coming back across and we touched , causing him to spin (sorry roo) I know how that feels for the rest of the race.Video for each race will be out by sunday.. providing someone can upload race 1 for me please. It's really only the last few races I came to grips with this car, with it's bouncy suspension and seemingly constantlyspinning rear tyres. Interestingly I got better after replacing an AMD R9-270 with a GTX1070. a rather enormous leap in graphics ability. and price too. Maybe I'll upgrade to that new AMD Ryzen cpu coming out early next year to replace ageingI5-750 @4 ghz. Apparently it's going to give Intel a run for its money for once. Thanks for the season. My goal for 2017 is to be more consistent, as that's one area I've gone backwards in this year. Despite braking early I still managed to lock the front brakes skidding into the poor driver on my outside (sorry!) getting turned around in the process. Spend a nervous few seconds watching cars desperately trying to avoid crashing into me. This left me in last place with a bit of frustration to work out But rubbing is racing in tin-top racing was happy to finish 5th, with a bit of Shameless's paint on my car.Race 2:All the passing in race 1 held me in good stead with starting from the back of the grid not holding any unknown challenges. I was lucky enough to have a buffer to Phil for the last few laps and used all of it.Thanks for the season Phil, really enjoyed the Ford. Congratulations to Phil for another fantastic season. Thanks Wally for not rejecting me as a team mate, I thought at one point if I can keep on the black stuff, you and I could come home as a pair, but alas, concentration was not at peak and fractured more in race 2.Race 1, blinder of a start picking up a couple of places, slipped past a few incidents easily, phew... and was looking at Wally's bumper and settled in to a rhythm. Put in 3 good laps and become involved in an incident and moved on to make a stupid mistake on turn 2, and waited for the filed to pass by...Race 2, was not too hot by then, but had some good racing inbetween crappy racing!Overall = Fun.Season overall = Fun. Slowly reeled in Seanus and had a good battle with some side by side panel rubbing eventually getting by on the last lap where he unfortunately thought the race was finished. You know you drive your sim rig more than your real car when you go to push the clutch in and there isn't one Logged Bruce Global Moderator Hero Member Posts: 3440 Karma: 76 "Look out, I'm comin' through!" The steering wheel is way to big for a start!
