Candiman found a better way through VPN to Mexico ended up paying $52 for the deluxe version which includes all DLC. Will try and get you on TS next time i see you on...

I was going to do the same thing via India (same as I did for BF3 Premium) but the 50GB download put me off. ;)

I'm not into golf so don't really follow the terminology but would it be a 'hole in one' or 'one in the hole'? Cause I reckon I'd like to take up golf if I could get 'one in the hole'. :D

You should add it is a 49.99GB download!!! Massive size game due to it having uncompressed audio files. The audio files take a whopping 38GB!!

http://www.ozgameshop.com/ have it listed on DVD for $59.99 (Free delivery to Australia from the UK but will take 5-7 days to arrive)

http://search.dungeoncrawl.com.au/ have it listed on DVD for $64.90. (again Free Delivery to anywhere in Australia) Game ships from Melbourne and 'should' only take a day or two for delivery to any state in Australia, country locations may take a little longer.
Dungeon Crawl already have it in stock and have started deliveries, Funnybones's copy left Melbourne 12 hours ago at the time of this post. ;)

My proccessor is an intel I7 2600k, so may be worth trying.

I also have the i7 2600k, so for you yes its definitely worth trying. Its a fully reversible registry setting adjustment which is only disabling a power saving option for your CPU. You are not DELETING a registry key, you are only MODIFYING it, so no harm can be done. :)

Grumps,
I mainly get the lag on a full 64 slot server.  Will this help?

If you have the lag problem really bad, you will notice it even in a small server with just a few players. If you only notice the lag in full 64 slot servers then it may just be because there is so much happening on the screen. But if you have an i7 and are running Windows 7 then yes the small registry change 'may' help'.

IMPORTANT: This will only work for i7's which are running Windows 7.

From memory Shrek, you're running Windows 8? If so then no this registry fix will not help your lag. Windows 8 handles 'Core Parking' differently and does not have the same problem as Windows 7. ;)

Firstly remember, only for i7's which are running Windows 7. (Windows 8 handles Core Parking differently on i7's)

Ive tried both those methods Shev, disabling Hyper Threading does indeed help and to a point does work, but then I found the 'Core Parking' discussions and this works near 100% as far as no lag goes for me. I now play the game on mostly 'High' settings (could do with a slightly better graphics card to run it 100% in Ultra) but before parking the cores my game was near unplayable even in all the lowest settings.
I also now have Hyper Threading 'Enabled' again.

Open Regedit

Find this key:  " 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583 "

Within this key, there is a value called:  " ValueMax "

This value represents the % number of cores your system will park - the default is 100%  ie:  all Cores are potentially park-able.
(the Path at the bottom of Regedit should be: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Power\PowerSettings\54533251-82be-4824-96c1-47b60b740d00\0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583)

Right Click 'ValueMax' and choose 'Modify' from the menu, Change the value from 64 to 0 so the " ValueMin "  and  " ValueMax " are both zero

Depending on the number of power profiles you have, You will have to repeat the process maybe 2 or 3 times to make sure you find all instances of the '0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583' key. I personally only had 1 instance of the key in my registry.

Do a full Shutdown and Power-Off (Do a Cold Re-start)

..... you cant blame the game
It appears you have taken an un-educated guess at not only my PC specs but those of many thousands on the Battlelog forums who have the same issues with ingame lag. I don't blame the game at all, I blame the developers of the game. ;)

The problem mainly affects i7 pc's running Windows 7.

I have fixed my problem with a 'registry edit', but it is a temporary fix until DICE release a patch to fix 'their' mistake. ;)

Here's something for you all to try, firstly read the 'minimum' specs released for the game, then go ingame (into a server) and run the 'System Performance Test' in Options. (just go to Options and the test button is down the bottom right hand side of the screen, click on the button and on the next screen click 'Run Test'. Here's the funny thing, many people who have system witch easily meet the 'Recommended' specs (not minimum but recommended specs) FAIL the FPS test. Many people with higher end systems still come up with a FAIL for FPS even tho the game runs smoothly for them.
A good example is Funnybones, he only has an i5 system, running in ULTRA settings the game runs 100% smooth as even tho he fails the FPS test.
What I am getting at is DONT trust that ingame system test, it will tell you to lower graphics settings when you don't need too.

The Battlelog forum has many thousands of people reporting ingame faults. It has nothing to do with having low end systems. ;)
Before I made my registry edit, I lagged out badly when running the game in LOW settings, the ingame System Test was still telling me to lower graphic settings even tho I had everything already set to the absolute lowest it could go, since the registry change I now run in HIGH/ULTRA with no lag at all. ;)

My shitty system can run the game. ;)

i have to say the beta is coded far better than bf3 was and it appears to run a hell of a lot smoother,
Cant say I agree with that! BF4 is as laggy as hell for 'most' people. BF3 has always ran fine for me, BF4 is very laggy, even on 'Low' settings.
I can tell you tho, when playing Conquest, the dust which appears after the building falls down, is not meant to stay around for the remainder of the map. The dust is supposed to dis-appear after a few minutes, it is a known fault and the developers are working on it to help reduce the lag which happens after the building goes down.

Also, as some would know, you can not configure the DELETE key ingame. You can however manually edit the 'PROFSAVE_profile' file. (C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Battlefield 4 Beta\settings) to get the DELETE key working, I've done this and it works fine ingame. You can also do this to get the 'INSERT' key working ingame. ;)

Each button on the Keyboard is allocated a number, the DELETE key is number 211. I have no idea what number the INSERT key is as I don't use it ingame.

And 'aussie', if your paying $80 for the game and $20 for each of the 4 expansions ($160 total) then you are shopping in the wrong place! I got 3 copies of BF3 for $ 140 then paid $28 for Premium. So all up for just 'my' BF3 game with Premium cost me a grand total of  $74.98 ............. that's less than what you paid just for the 'base' game. :D

BF4 I will buy for $55 and Premium for $48 .... total $103 (considering ORIGIN want $79.99 for the game and $59.99 for Premium (Total $139.98) I think $103 is quite good considering I need to buy 3 copies which will be a saving of $90 all up. :D
