Hi Wally: just to clarify what I meant earlier on. Look at me and Matthew. We were doing basically the same until our unfortunate contact in race 1. I got "lucky" and he got "unlucky." As a result, I got some good points in race 1, but had to fight in race 2 and 3, and got 65 points out of that roulette. Instead, he got very few points out of race 1, but started race 2 first and got 70 points. (Looking at Phil's results gives a similar idea... it's just really tough and you need quite some luck to do well in races 2 and 3 if you finish in the podium in race 1).

Of course, none of us is going to really do it (be last in the first race on purpose). I think we are all way too good sports for something like that. As for me: I enjoy race 1 so much more that I can't handle the idea of missing a result on that one. But I think it would be a pretty good strategy to arrive last on the first race on purpose. If you are a fast car, the chances of getting an amazing result in races 2 and 3 are huge.

Prety much what happened to me in round one, taken out in the first race to finish 17th I think bit then win race 2.

Speaking of race 2, this round was defenitly much harder, narrow track and nowhere to go. Spent the first few laps in the 1:40-41’s. Hopefully truxton should be a bit wider

I’m kind of going by rough track spot and engine sound. VR does take some of the fine detail away but there’s no way I could go to using a screen.

Can’t say I’m a fan of this track. Too many blind double corners on it. The second last corner (double corner) I can’t find anything I can use as a braking/turning marker at all. Seems more a matter of luck then anything else, maybe that’s just me though.

Some very tricky corners on this track, easy to make a mess of it and lose heaps of time

50
I’m in it for the competition and to get as far up the points ladder as possible.
Clean racing is important though, it’s awesome to be chalanged by people who drive clean and fair and nothing worse then loosing places because of a hit

I think contact penalty’s need to be severe. If you rear end someone mid corner even at 20km/h because you brakes too late you will likely spin them and with a short sprint format that will ruin their race

Was wondering about the set up reading different myself, my front cambers were showing WAY out compared to practice server, left them alone as figured it’s a ground thing but haven’t seen it out like that before anywhere, was over a degree out in front left. Couldn’t get within half a second of my prac time weirdly.

As for speed, defenitly shift early, if you look at the torque curve on the car it peaks very early and drops very hard at the end of the rev range. TC off, throttle control and a bit of alignment/suspension tweaks to try to help corner exit, the huge low end torque makes it really easy to light up he tyres

Thanks for the racing and the later start, means I shouldn’t need to come up with a bunch of reasons I need to leave work early on tuesdays...
First time I’ve raced on this track, it has a good flow, prety cool.. Race 1 was a nightmare being taken out at corner 2 and having the car destroyed, can’t believe how much top speed it lost. Race 2 and 3 were much better though :)

Looking forward to the next round

Have seen a few fixes wireless connections. Speed can be good but packet loss can be a killer.
If iiNet struggle doubt Telstra will do better, just more annoying customer support. I’ve got 3 iiNet connections in the office all of which 100/40 and never see any slow down, all fttp. Also one 100/100 and also no slow down. Probably as they are used in business hours and not when everyone is hammering Netflix.

Interesting there is so many internet issues at the moment, I also noticed my 50/20 FTTP connection had dropped to 6mbs yesterday. However now it is back up to the highest DL and UL speeds I have ever had, very close to the 50/20 I have been paying for for nearly 3 years. I think a lot of ISPs are running scared about refunds from lower than sold speeds, lets hope so anyway. These problems may only be happening as they are doing line upgrades.
that's about the speeds I am dropping to, I also pay for 50/20
at 8 am this morning I had 49/17,
4.30 pm I have 6/5

Who are you with? Contention ratio must be terrible. Pretty sad considering that fttp cable can do a gigabit no problems

If we are on the subject of changing stuff what’s the chance of pushing quali time at least 15minutes for the poor souls in WA with no daylight savings? I finish work at 5 and generally get home 5:30 plus minus a few minutes.

I have also had a lot of disconnect issues recently which coincided with nbn going live in the area (fttn)
Rock solid connection up to that point. I changed all the adsl filters and it seems to have fixed it, there was possibly extra noise on the line from nbn causing drop outs. Maybe worth testing for you
