I don’t remember driving any go-kart mods before so this has been a real return to my grass roots and all those $$$'s spent at various hire kart places during my teenage years....Every session I was going quicker and quicker and I found these cars rather consistent in their handling once I changed my driving style to them. Once I knew when they were going to slide it was just a matter of staying within track limits and not dropping wheels off the track. Quali and Race 1 was a matter of head down and push hard not making any mistakes and I was shocked with the results.During race 2 I saw a couple of 34's on my delta and so I went for it and tried to take the last corner flat because I felt that was where I was bleeding time...that didn't turn out too well after running off the road and hitting the wall and flipping several times I felt like a tennis ball in the middle of a very long rally! Dead last with a handful of laps to go....but I won't complain because the kart survived and I was soon back lapping in the mid 35's. Race 3 was fun. I started well having a fun battle with Sparky. He was driving very well and it was quite hard to get into a clean passing position until he launched off the big curb at the 2nd last corner. From then on it was a matter of not going for a lap time, despite having a little spin at turn 3 towards the end of the race, in the end I finished with only 150ml of fuel in my kart. « Last Edit: October 05, 2022, 05:52:34 PM by bradc » Logged Scott_Racer Jr. Member Posts: 101 Karma: 9 Re: S44R1 - Tsukuba Circuit 1000 « Reply #8 on: October 05, 2022, 08:58:06 PM » Cheers Brad it was a good race indeed, look forward to the rest of the season hopefully I’ll be able to join in a bit more regularly. That curb got me a few times last night!
