Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Thoughts on Fanatec GT2« on: August 09, 2017, 12:05:05 AM »
I think a couple of people here have those pedals. I have the clubsport v2s and load cell makes a huge difference. You can just buy a shifter separately. The fanatec shifter connects directly with usb.

After the long race I can't really remember the first race. Racing with Phil for most of it I think and lots of missed gears.
Race two after the busy start was chasing kcender for a lot of the race. Lots of side by side action but couldn't make a pass stick. Shayne caught up and got by and a few laps later I got the place back. Lots more close racing inbetween kcender and Shayne with Phil close behind him, but a late mistake allowed Shayne to get a run on me again and take the place. On the final lap I went just slightly off on the fast first sector and copped a 10 second penalty which was annoying but I guess that means less restrictor next week! 1023

Looks like it would replace a few of the apps I currently use with one app. 1024
Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S18R2: Riverside Spike« on: August 02, 2017, 12:00:59 PM »Never seen that but the game threw me back to the pits and gave me a warning for dangerous driving. While it was at it, it executed my pitstop strategy. I was in the middle three wide and got tapped on the right pushing me into the car on the left so not sure why it penalised me. The cut track app is written by wally not AC. He just uses the data he has available to him to know when you are off track. It also takes into account speed so if you re-renter slower than you went off it won't count as a cut. But sure you can crash spin off and back on and it counts as a cut but that's why you get 3 chances before the penalty is applied. 1025

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S18R1: Brands Hatch Indy Post Race« on: July 26, 2017, 10:08:35 AM »I managed to orchestrate a accident in the only straight of the track. Not sure what happened Joe, I may have drifted over into you path without intent. Hah yeah that's what it looked like to me but didn't expect that from a pro like yourself. Awesome intense racing with you on my tail though. Had a feeling stats would show something like this: Hunted: Jeremy [Struggle Street Racing Crew] (avg gap to car behind 0.54 secs) Busiest: Joe [Krahl Racing] (avg total gap in front and behind 1.41 secs) 1032

Started 4th and bogged down at the start losing some positions. On lap two was side by side with Freezer through Druids and we had a little impact on the next left where Freezer took the apex while I was expected room to be left as thought I was fairly overlapped. Hard to tell in the moment but we both drove out of it but lost of a few places so no big deal. I think I was in 11th then and had a clean race from then on making a few passes mostly as people made mistakes. Not sure where I finished so will wait for the results but I think around 7th.
Race 2 was the most intense and close race I've had I think. Diehard got past me off the start and after that I was behind him with Jeremy and Mael behind. We stayed like that for quite some time until at one point Diehard slowed when I didn't expect and I had to hit the brakes with gave Jeremy his chance to pass me. Then many many laps in a Diehard, Jeremy, myself and Mael train which was a lot of fun. At one stage I missed my blip on the downshift at Graham Hill(??) and went wide allowing Mael to go along side me. From my view I was over to the right of the track going straight and Mael veered into me from the left and spun off. Would be keen to see what it looked like in a replay as it seemed a bit odd. After that I caught back up with Diehard and Jeremy and some lap in the early 30s Diehard went wide on the final turn allowing Jeremy and myself to squeeze through. I seemed to have more pace but there was no getting by Jeremy; we were side by side a lot during the race but could never make the pass stick. With a couple of laps to go he went out wide though T1 and I got the pass at Druids. Think I finished 5th. Great quality racing as always with XGN. 1033

Hey Mael and your "I just set a new fastest lap for you to aim for Joe". Can you make it a little more challenging. Only took me about 10 laps to beat it. Thanks

I love these cars. Nice to be using the H-shifter and clutch again on a Tuesday season. Sorry for the tap Wally, it's exactly what I did to Mael. I think I take a different line through T1 or something and it caught me out twice. The 90% restrictor made it quite different when I was back in the pack. There was no way I was getting past anyone so all I could do is defend which I did with AJ for quite a number of laps but eventually I stuffed up the final corner and he got me through T1.
