When I downloaded & installed it last night  (from racedepartment) it was all in a single "content" folder within the zip file

Couldn't get any easier than that so perhaps they've changed it so you got it.

Little too late for this Kiwi.
Race 1 doesn't get going until 10.50pm for me.
Maybe next season.

Best of luck & Enjoy

Not gonna run tonight.

I am not liking these cars & will wait for some modern Race machines later on.
I've put mountains of practice in but just can't seem to gel at all.

Good luck all.

Yeah I deserve the -4 for that misjudgement.  Very Sorry RJM. I did spologise at the time & was ready to readdress if he had gone off track.
Wasn't quite expecting the field to brake so early but to be honest I had no idea how close the corner was at that point. I didn't feel I was following too close, just got caught out.

Anyway - Struggled to find any decent pace in qualifying, as has been the case all week with this track. During the races I could see that I wasn't cutting some of the corners & chicanes enough, which is against my normal way of driving. To me, a cut is all four wheels outside the track, not the "push until you get told off" method so I need to adjust my head for that rule.

Race 1 - Tried to settle into my own rhythm & run my own race & to an extent this worked quite well.  Was able to jump a few cars that had made errors and leapt from 11th up to 8th I think by the end. Was trying to keep my pace & open the gap to Wally behind me.

Race 2 - Just outside the top ten in qual so I was again back of the leading pack. Made no real advance until the pits came around. I refuelled early to tried to make it home on one set of tyres. Nearly worked but they dropped off about 4 laps from the end.

Overall I had fun & some good "time" battles on track with s few players. Sorry again to Ray for the tap in T1, I assume it gave you a bit of damage for Race 1 as you mentioned the car was feeling sluggish.

On a different note,  there was way too much talking during qual & racing for my liking, Especially once guys had finished their races they assume everyone has finished so they start up chatting away, even when more than half the field are still racing.  It's great to have company & to have TS to communicate in-game, but I feel the friendly chatter belongs in the practice sessions, not the serious ones. Just my two cents.

Otherwise enjoyed  myself & thanks for having an opening for me once again.

Was on last night & struggling to get my McLaren anywhere near the lap times that you boys were hitting.
Even with the DRS system being utilised at every opportunity I was 2 seconds off.

Gonna need to put in some serious practice tonight after work. Best thing about living in NZ is that I have at least 2 hours extra practice time on race night before any of you aussies :)

Not until at least half the people I know are on it

Helicorsa is the best.
It remains invisible until there is a car in your vicinity and when it comes on it show exactly how you lineup with the cars around you. This has proven invaluable for me at the start of any race and also while battling hard during the races themselves.

The arrows in-game are ok but Helicorsa takes it to another level.

Also, regarding Wobbly's exiting pitlane in front of qualifiers... give him sh*t about it - beat him up verbally lol. He's a big boy & he can take it.

Just a though on WobblyOne last night.
He's normally a very clean driver, although only having one arm can make him a little 'swervy' from time to time.
However, I believe that the problem last night was more connection based than driver related.
He lives over on Great Barrier Island which may have had some internet issues. Not sure exactly what his connection setup is but I've raced with him for years & he's not one to cause incidents normally.

Steve, I suppose you've enabled the app in the AC launcher as well as selected it from the edge app menu on track?

Well to be honest iot didn't appear in the edge menu list . I didn't think to look for any enabling in options so I'll check it out a bit further tonight. I know during the race I had run wide a few times each time I was lifting off the throttle to try to keep things honest.

Thank you to Wally for the call up to come & race.
I hadn't out any laps in at all here for a while so as soon as I got home from work  I jumped online & tried to get a fairly decent setup.

Qual - Went fairly well & out myself on the 3rd row.
Race 1 - Made an average start but was able to stick it in there fairly well.
Somwehere I lost a place or two & so was trying top claw back lost positions. I had made it on to the back of Bafs and although being faster in some places I wasn't able to pass. Was a very tight race & most enjoyable.

Race 2 - I made a great start & found myself in 3rd, right behind Bafs again. This time however I think Bafs had to back off mid corner to avoid the car in front & I tagged his rear end, spinning him around.  I stopped & waited for him to pass me & by then we were well down the order - Sorry Again Bafs, we were both looking good at that early stage.
Rejoined in 17th and had to claw my way back through the pack. By the mid way point came around I was in 8th & closing in on a tightly fighting pack of cars. It was lap 7 so I made the decision to pit earlier to see if I could leapfrog them & make up positions.  It worked and I had made up 3 places in the process. As the race wore on, Wally was slowly gaining on me and he caught up on the final lap. I Drove safe & covered my lines fairly and was lucky to be handed another position by someone spinning on the final lap. Ended 4th & very happy with that.

I actually Did leave the server in practice to install the V1.1 PLP app so I am unaware as to why it didn't run. I have reinstalled again and will try it online tonight.

Hi All,

Been around for years racing sims so probably seen of few of you either in public servers or in League racing.
42 at the moment, Aussie Born, living in North Island of Sheep Shaggerland & love it here.
Have a wife, Kids & Mortgage & try to hide money away to race my Superkart occasionally.

I use a 4-monitor setup & use a G27 (with shifter).

Look forward to some good racing with you all.

Steve
