An off-season tuesday is a great way to test, though, don't you think? That's exactly the point!

It's time to focus on your driving. Get on the gas as soon as you can! Slow in, get the nose pointed in the right direction, then throttle it up as soon as you can. Just keep practising 1729

Have you tried the lake road, yet? It feels a bit artificial to be honest, but not bad. Bit shorter than the hillclimb. But I think it needs a fast car to bring the good bits out.

Assetto Corsa / Re: G25/27 GTEYE spring mod« on: September 13, 2014, 01:09:17 PM »
Hope you can get better, Guy!
I used to use a set of A1's it has/had a dual spring in the brake, the stronger one kicked in about halfway down. It has helped heaps finding the braking point. With a normal spring one -and fanatec is the same - indeed it's extremely hard to find the right point. 1732

eh, 28 on the list, but every week there are more and more that don't turn up. It's like that every time.
And you don't want 5 to go missing from a field of 15... Plus mid-week quali is extra hassle - besides it only separates those with time from those who've no time, really. (with the mixed cars) For these reasons, I'd not start a new field with half, rather run a smaller race with those above a certain (full field) number - which can be fairly low indeed, if we put Vallelunga on. I'd rather run with the more dedicated, stable members, who can turn up every week, to be honest. my 2c anyway 1735

So why not Vallelunga? It's a tad less twisty than Magione...I'd say a bit more entertaining, too.

Assetto Corsa / Re: The Smoke Dick Challenge!« on: September 11, 2014, 03:56:50 PM »I dunno. I can imagine a few things;I was on softs...maybe a bad idea? - I can gain a lot of speed early on with the softs, or - I'm not driving the wheels off, and they last - and/or possibly my driving style is very different from yours... I'll try the mediums if I get a chance. I've tried hards, but same as you, I was significantly slower. 1739

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Trial race Sep 9: Lotus/BMW at Blackwood« on: September 11, 2014, 10:37:09 AM »It seems for people that have the cpu issues its more related to number of cars and not ingame settings. Ingame settings would effect fps but its possible to have cpu warning with no fps issues. Try 30 AI with collisions on at nords any graphic settings and you get to play it in slow motion. The game will run very slowly but my fps is the same as always. Its just rather strange and as we know by the italian error code for wrong password. What it says on screen is not likely the actual error, just a cryptic clue. In this case it maybe correct....fps is largely dependent on GPU, but the simulation can still run at a lower rate - that can easily be CPU dependent. |
