I've had the same base for nearly 12 months and never had anything like that.Yeah. I think it must be a hardware fault since I haven't found any one else with the same problem. « Last Edit: December 04, 2017, 01:29:50 PM by Gratulin » Logged Gratulin Hero Member Posts: 2159 Karma: 44 Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel « Reply #16 on: December 04, 2017, 01:33:35 PM » Has anyone else ever raised a support call to Fanatec here in Australia?I cannot find a local phone number for them. I have found their address in Victoria but no phone details.I am not happy being at the mercy of an email system run from Europe. I did get a rather quick response though. Actually I think it was all through their website support ticket thingy. From what I remember they were pretty quick to response. I suppose I was just used to being able to make a phone call. It seems their QC is still not up to scratch. It was around xmas...so good luck. « Last Edit: December 05, 2017, 08:23:58 AM by Bird » Logged buellersdayoff RestrictedRacing Full Member Posts: 908 Karma: 31 Re: Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel « Reply #21 on: December 05, 2017, 10:53:25 AM » I had this issue after two weeks owning my wheel but fixed it myself dreading the thought of being without it lol Logged Bacchulum RestrictedRacing Hero Member Posts: 3403 Karma: 96 Re: Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel « Reply #22 on: December 05, 2017, 11:09:46 AM » Mine was similar bueller. My FFB motor went, so they gave me the option of sending the wheel back and waiting 3-4 weeks, or fix it myself. They sent me the replacement motor and instructions and it's been sweet since. But you can't use it in a race so I'm going to send it back if possible. I got onto Fanatec support via their online chat last night and after an hour or so online the support guy gave me a link to a new firmware version that was being used for the CSL Elite PS4 (driver 293; firmware 336). That fixed the problem. Turns out quite a few people had the same problem. If only Fanatec has posted that they were working on a fix!!Anyway, it is worth noting that the online chat session worked much better than email because it is more interactive. The support guys was very good and thorough. The option doesn't seem to be available on their website all the time. Only during certain working hours (German time). It's good to know that a firmware update can fix what appears to be a hardware problem.
