Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Round 2: Silverstone International Chat« on: June 14, 2014, 03:48:17 PM »Let go back to the 1st chicane at Imola. Just cause it's still fresk in my brain.. How for out would you say you stop acceleration? Do you coast before applying breaks? Coming back to "no no no, never coast!" - I have to stay off the throttle in Stowe for a while until I get the front end of the car turning into the corner. Is this because you should have continued braking longer into the corner and then get onto the throttle? This is what I am trying to do but invariably come off the brake too early or brake too much. 2133

Looks like there was a full grid tonite. How will the reserving work if there is not a full field on the night?

Wally, I believe you can add more entries than the available pit slots in the entry list. A warning will be issued but connections are still allowed unless more than the pit box number actually tries to connect. It is unlikely that everyone will use the practise server at the same time so this will allow reserves to get some practise time with other racers. thanks.

Assetto Corsa / Re: G25/27 GTEYE spring mod« on: June 07, 2014, 08:35:49 AM »
I am the same as others - cannot left foot brake in a real car but left foot brake in-game. It could be that most cars are not setup for left foot braking. Here's a picture of a car (an SUV!?) that is offered only with a semi-auto box (no manual option) and is definitely designed to allow both left and right foot braking.

I have this spring mod and find it really good. I have struggled to improve my pace and braking was my biggest challenge. Since installing this spring I can feel the brake pressure/threshold and am now able to adjust the brake balance and, in AC, the brake gamma so that I am not locking and spinning all the time. With AC I have been able to adjust the gamma so that the spring pressure point (which is non-linear with the GTEYE) matches the non-linear gamma curve set in AC. So, like a real brake, I can push the pedal to the "resistence point" and then control the brake threshold through pressure on the pedal.

Assetto Corsa / Re: Car Skins in Multiplayer« on: June 05, 2014, 04:18:34 PM »My understanding is that if Dick, for example, provides his custom skin for everyone to download then those who install it will see his skin. Those who don't will get the generic skin. Perhaps that is an easy interim arrangement? Just need an upload area for (voluntary) custom skins. Since I cannot drive tonight I can try and upload a skin. If everyone doesn't get to download it then no harm done. I will use a ready built skin that I download from the AC forum. Wally, what do you think about naming the skins by the driver name. Since AC puts the skins into the 'car' folder then the name can be the same for every car. Makes the entry list easy to setup? If you want to proceed where do you wan the upload? 2140

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Tuesday Season 1: BMW M3 E30 Information and Driver Signup« on: June 02, 2014, 06:53:08 PM »All, is it worth stipulating that every has to use a PRO mode of realism? Is that going to cause anyone huge grief? I don't know if anyone relies on an auto-clutch. You can't enforce this via the server (yet). I use Pro mode and as a back marker it doesn't seem to make a difference to my pace ie auto clutch on or off. However, if it impacts the faster guys then I'm definitely in favour 2143

Assetto Corsa / Car Skins in Multiplayer« on: May 31, 2014, 02:31:51 PM »
I have done some testing and it seems that you can set the car skins in the entry_list of the server and it will assign that skin to the specific driver's car. However, I haven't been able to test this online with multiple players, so it may not work properly hence all the red Ferraris and white McLarens. Is this the case Wally?
