May I suggest the strategy for this race is to find a laptime you can comfortably repeat 16 times without
spinning off the the track at some random point, while trying to shave a fraction of a second off . My best so far,
is 10 laps without a spin, although I went very close at one point. It is also possible to end up stuck on top of a guard rail and jump back to the pits.

I use this in practice sessions to try and get consistent

You can change the length of the time trial in the .ini for it

Are we sticking to "rolling start" for this? Got no clutch atm (hopefully next week) and I don't think auto clutch is enabled.

I am happy to do a rolling start if you like.  You could bind the clutch to a button as a temporary measure ?

Its probably fairer for the sierra drivers to do rolling starts

I've tried that but it won't let me.. :'( No bigee, if it's a standing start I'll start at the back. Rolling start, I'll have a crack at qualifying.. ;D

I didn't think you could do this in AC? I'm not able to get an axis to respond to key input. Are you doing this with some other software work around?

Yeah. But who wants to be fair. Going past the Sierras at the start is too much fun ;)

I think Bird  has a backup TS and I have Gamevox if needed
https://www.gamevox.com/GKPX-8AB

sounds 100% better than TS

I've stopped the backup TS the last time the whole server crashed :)   It seemed it has used more memory than its fair share at some point (but not sure).
I think I can start it up if the regular TS does not get back.

Gamevox: now everyone would have to d/l a client, configure it, iron out problems...not sure if we want to do that, but up to you guys.

I've installed it and it appears to be working...haven't actually been on a server though.
