Just a thought that maybe the Sierra DTM can replace the M235i **IF** we want to keep the cars "period correct".

In my own testing with the AI driving, the 190E Evo II does 54.4 around Barbagallo, the M3 E30 DTM does 54.5 and the Ford Sierra DTM (link at the bottom of this post) does 54.7.

The M235i does it in 57.4 which is a few seconds slower (although, again, this is with the AI driving), so this could be used as the "punishment" car for the faster drivers (pending further testing of course, just in case it was a fluke that the AI was so slow in my testing).

However, again, in the sake of possibly keeping it a bit more period correct, there is also the Vauxhall Cavalier BTCC '90 (which in my testing did a 55.3). In addition, there is also the Honda Civic SiR-II Group A '91 (Barbagallo in 56.0). I'm pretty sure all three of these mods were made by Malagoli, who does some fine work in my opinion.

Ford Sierra '82 (including DTM and Group A versions): http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/1987-ford-sierra-cosworth-rs500.4840/
Vauxhall Cavalier BTCC '90: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/1990-vauxhall-cavalier-btcc.8566/
Honda Civic SiR-II Group A '91: http://www.mediafire.com/download/12t3pto1ahpys0j/CivicEG_GRA_1.0_NoSkin.rar

Of course these would all require more testing to make sure everybody is happy with them and to make sure my AI testing was accurate.

That compelled me to have a look through and see what Aussie tracks I had in my list...

Adelaide ('88 and 2011)
Albert Park
Barbagallo
Bathurst
Eastern Creek (Standard, Amaroo, Brabham, Druitt)
Ironbark Hills (Fictional)
Longford 67
Majura Valley  (Fictional - Club, GP, Sprint)
Oran Park
Phillip Island
Sandown
Surfers Paradise 2004
Symmonds Plains
Wakefield Park

And a couple of Kiwi tracks for good measure...
Pukekohe Park
Ruapuna Park

Anybody know of any others that I might be missing?

I mentioned just on Thursday Night that I'd love to see Simmons Plains in AC, then today here it is on RD! Haven't driven it yet, but apparently it's a copy of the one for rFactor2, which is apparently pretty good.

Love your work Phil.

Will the thirsty cars even make it that far on 3x fuel?

I really need to work on my close racing confidence :)

Off the top of my head other ones we could do might be:

* Monaco when the GP rolls around,
* Isle of Man when the TT is on (although the AC version of the track isn't exactly fantastic in my humble opinion),
* Bathurst 100 when the 1000 is on
* maybe even a Hill Climb event at Pikes Peak (although the best version of that track I know of currently only has 8 pitboxes).
* Macau GP
* Nurburgring 24 Hour

That can still be a bit spooky in the Sauber C9 full bickies, especially passing. 8)

Very true.

How about tribute races to the big ones that are on throughout the year? For example, this weekend we could have done a trimmed down version of the Bathurst 12 hour (maybe like a 1/10th scale race, so 72 minutes), and when the LeMans 24 hours is on we could do a 144 minute race at LeMans. Just a thought  ;D

Unfortunately I think Gratulin's suspicions were well founded. I've just had a bit of a drive in each of the cars, and apart from the Nissan, Mazda and BMW, they all feel a bit...plastic and cookie cutter. The muscle cars have no front end feel at all and not much body roll, which just doesn't seem right, and it's almost impossible to get the back end out in the Porsche without resorting to kicking the clutch.
