In a close start to the season, Wally and Mael are tied on 46 points, with AGK only one point behind on 45 points, thanks in no small part to a bit of a shocker from Brad and Joe.

These cars seem mighty fast and extremely tricky about here….how many laps will the races be?

I know it's a short lap, but man-o-man it's busy, I was over 1 sec quicker when I changed from stick to paddle shift so I could hang on with 2 hands! I think my sim is going to need a full service after tonight as there are so many bumps and shakes coming from my wheel!

CHEATING!!

Well clearly it didn’t work as I had a shocker!

In the first race I was tailgating Joe and was able to go side by side in the right hairpin and we touched resulting in Joe in the fence and me with no front end….I couldn’t believe how fragile these cars are!

Race two wasn’t much better when I stuffed up and hit Joe in the same corner ruining his race. Totally my fault. I got caught out by how early Joe broke into that right hander as it was a fair amount before I was and after watching the replay I think a lot of this was due to how we took the previous corner so differently, in which Joe was a lot quick through it meaning he had to brake sooner, where as I was slower through the corner allowing me to brake later as I had less speed to wash off. No excuse, I stuffed up!

Race 3 was frustrating. I knew I was quick but I wasn’t quick enough to put the car in a position to pass and after the previous race I was rather gun shy to try. Eventually I made a mistake at the right handed losing time and then spent the rest of the race watch the mirror trying to not impede Wally as he was about a second or so behind me but my lap times were slight quicker so I didn’t yield. In the end it really didn’t matter as I couldn’t catch anyone anyway.

Hopefully next week is far less eventful

I don't see how it's cheating.
I have both H-pattern and paddles mapped and it defaults to whatever the actual car uses, in this case the paddles. ;)

Yeah, when  I wrote that I did not realize it's a flappy paddle car. So brad is ok to use the paddles and not be stuck in one gear  ;D

Was surprised by the damage on these too. Brad and I hardly touched in R1 and I barely touched the wall and got stuck. R2 after our accident my car wouldn't move, the engine was gone, but it really didnt seem bad enough for that. On the damage indicator there was a few yellow parts but the car wouldn't move and there was no engine sound.

Race 3 was better and fun trying to catch up with Wally and Mael.

Thankfully my internet issues held up, and got it fixed yesterday. One of the cables had been chewed on by something, which is surprising at there is usually a python hanging out on my roof.

There was probably just a dodgy section of track barrier, that made the car stick and get ruined. I bounced off another barrier at one stage, and just had some minor front and rear damage.

Yeah but in R2 my engine was gone when on the damage indicator it was yellow. I also didn't really expect the impact to do an engine.
