As usual, you can vote for as many choices as you'd like.Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 (1974)A beautiful, raw race car. We raced this on a Thursday night fun run, and it gave excellent close racing. The race format would be 3 x sprints.Race 2 in reverse groups of 4 from race 1 finish, e.g. 4,3,2,1... 8,7,6,5... 12,11,10,9... etc.Race 3 in Race 2 finish order.Damage restrictor applied for only car to car contacts (not environment), but not carrying over into subsequent races.Lotus 3-ElevenSame season format as the Porsche above.80's Group C - United States IMSA GT ChampionshipCars: Porsche 962 C Short Tail Porsche 962 C Long Tail (but with 100% restrictor for parity as the long tail is lighter and more powerful) Mercedes-Benz C9 1989 LMTracks (from the mid-80s IMSA GT calendar) Daytona 24 hrs (Road course) Road Atlanta Riverside Laguna Seca Watkins Glen Sebring Road America Sonoma Raceway (Infineon/Sears Point)This is an endurance championship, so I'd like to go 1 hr races again with pit stops, but if people are sick of long races, can go to 2 x 30 min sprints. « Last Edit: July 03, 2018, 10:36:27 PM by Wally » Logged “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time” Mael RestrictedRacing Hero Member Posts: 1045 Karma: 21 Re: S23 Car Poll « Reply #1 on: June 27, 2018, 09:06:04 PM » I'm tempted by the sprint races so voted for the 911 Logged Wally Administrator Hero Member Posts: 11036 Karma: 152 AC Admin Re: S23 Car Poll « Reply #2 on: June 27, 2018, 09:13:02 PM » Quote from: Mael on June 27, 2018, 09:06:04 PMI'm tempted by the sprint races so voted for the 911 Did you actually vote? I have been lobbying for the Porsche short/long tail for a long time and now I am going to miss most or all of the season, as I will be away from mid-July to early October.... The short tail on the other hand is less powerful but great to drive. Long tail.... in between. As for the 911, easier to drive and possibly closer racing. That said, the strength/weakness thing in the Group C's could be interesting! I'm pretty sure everyone knows my thoughts about 911's (and their CoG issues). But I'll reverse my vote because if I had to miss the '75 season, I would've been gutted. I hope others will wait for you grat. You guys are so nice. I am seriously moved.Whatever you choose, the important is that you have fun. I am sure there will be many more seasons I'll enjoy even if I don't get to race in the one I was hoping for.
