Seems like they're all pretty close, would be cool if we use a mix of period correct trans-am circuits and some aussie muscle car masters types.

These should be pretty fun, I did a few ai races with different cars at Pukekoe a couple months ago. Some cars have the ott loud external exhaust noise though.

All good I didn't take it that way, I will double check the limits, but I'm pretty sure it was all legal lol

Don't think I'm abusing track limits, I've stayed inside the white line and hadn't received any cut messages...unless I went off

I did a few more laps in the Merc offline, only minor tweaks to the set and abs off, not sure I'd race with it off though. Theoretical best was 2:14:7xx after about 9 laps. You can use a bit of the run off curbs around the back fast section (last few left handers) but the cars get a bit twitchy out there.

Shame rolling starts can't be implemented properly in ac like acc.

IDK lol, while they look like bricks they still have an aero package so you can kind of precariously rely on it in some corners. First few laps I did with meds hit 15's then put softs on and bam 14's, not sure how they'll go but they don't seem to overheat. Braking for the last chicken requires trail as you bump over the first curb then straighten up to get a good run over the second curb and onto the long straight. A lot of trail in the first double right balancing on the edge of grip without over driving it. Taking some of the driving techniques required to be somewhat competitive in acc on this track helps, so some aero reliance, not over doing tyre cornering/braking grip.
Switching over to the merc I did all those wrong things because I'm not used to the cars balance and haven't worked on a nice set, plus the braking into the hairpin and chicane will easily turn into an off because of the fade feel it has, not sure if it's abs, haven't played with it. With some more testing could probably match the Alfa as dietmar has before. Rolling starts would have been great for this season eliminating the Alfa's advantage off the line.

These are pretty cool cars, nice track too. Sorry about the bumps, good racing thanks guys.

56
Yeah good racing, nice track, just tyres are pushed to the limit especially towards the end of the race, thanks guys.

All good, still had really good races, lucky the damage is reduced a bit. Also for the gearbox damage, I still crunch and grind those even with the heel and toe quick shifts, it needs good timing.
Would be an excellent replay but while trying to figure out my pc issues I turned off the auto save. The pc problem for me turned out to be win updates that could only be removed via a month old backup, I had uninstalled/reinstalled those problematic updates too many times trying to diagnose.

Despite the incident I really enjoyed both of the races, it was tough battling trying to take places safely in R1 and then fighting for podium in R2, very intense. One of the highlights for me was giving Dietmar a little tap on the rear on corner exit (on the straight away) just to let him know I'm there, in case he wasn't feeling enough pressure already. It was a bit of a "hear me laughing" moment. The medium tyres were buggered by the end but probably necessary as to not overheat. Excellent racing thanks guys.
