Hardware & Reviews / Re: Fanatec Wheel Wall Mount« on: July 18, 2022, 10:45:45 AM »
Everything I've printed has started to fall apart, could be the pla I used, the print settings or just fatigue over time. I think pla+ or abs is recommended for longer lasting and/or sturdy applications. Just be cautious hanging expensive, heavy equipment like this.

Did anyone get this, and have a spare AC code they don't need?

Nice, I just set mine up. Stereo channel amp for individual channels for front/rear (pedals/seat). I have a Fosi audio TPA3116 100w x2 amp, 1 Dayton BST-1 and 1 Aura AST-2B-4. Both are 50w shakers and feel pretty much identical so it won't matter which you get. Once dialed in it adds some great immersion and an extra level of feedback that you don't get from your screen, headphones and even the wheel.

Alpine & Ginetta were quick through the turns and braking zones but got smashed on the straight by the Supra, so there will be some track dependencies, Porsche & Saleen were up there in the right hands

Initially I did a bunch of laps in the viper, it's horrible. Then tried some others, not much better. Then went with the saleen with bacchulum works set, still deadly but can match server times. Then swapped the sounds with the C7 mod, which I think swapped tyre sounds, so much more enjoyable now.

Not a stab at you sorry, but I couldn't get used to those formula cars and I don't think I can with these either, they definitely feel like iracing tyres though. I went and drove a few laps in kunos gt3 and it felt "ac normal"

The viper is the worst, it's like it does a compression lock up with every down shift, I try tuning it out but can't.

checksum with half the cars, even after delete and reinstall. Anyway these things feel like driving a porsche or something, they just want to snap turn around and unable to tune it out

The vid I linked earlier in the thread is probably one of the best tips for aero cars, and fits well with ACC, especially useful BEFORE making too many setup changes.
He mentioned it is hard find the extra speed when you feel like you don't have grip and you end up automatically reacting by going slower the next time you hit that corner. |
