Wally can you call up a reserve fir this week please.
Puter not happy (need to investigate either new graphics card or new psu failing :( )
And I should attend a car Club meeting.

OK, thanks Bruce, will do. Good luck with the PC.

Damn, how could I forget the Taatus (Formula Abarth)! Of course that will be in the mix, because as you say, that's the most balanced car out of the open wheelers. In fact, it's one of my favourite cars in the game. You seem to get a lot of feedback about driving at the limit of the car, more than in most other cars.

Ballast was built in in NKP - you could specify it in the server settings for each car.

I'll put the Taatus at Imola up on the fun server.

I have a plan, which is to have a single make open wheeler season, where you can vote for which car out of these: Lotus 49, Ferrari 312T, Lotus T125 (although 98T is coming soon, mid July).

The game's tracks are so much better quality than most of the conversions I've tried, so I'm keen to stick with the built-in tracks for now, until some good quality add-on tracks appear. In general though, I like a lot of track variety, so I'll be on the lookout for, and want to hear suggestions, of any good, and finished, add on tracks. I also prefer real life tracks.

But there's time to try different things... the games's still beta, the MP is alpha, more content will come...

And while we're on plans, I'm hoping that AC will introduce a ballast system. In the netKar league, I used an automatically calculated amount of ballast, so the faster guys automatically got more ballast, and it made for very close racing. Ballast is sometimes contentious, hobbling the naturally fast guys, but ask anyone who raced in the netKar league if they want ballast, and they'd probably all say yes.

Do I qualify for the password?
Sent you a PM.

The Schumacher S is a great bit of track. I find I have to lift a little to get some turn in, but then again, I do have to find at least 1 second somewhere.

I've set this up now, so that the practice server, www.xgn.com.au PRACTICE, is now a FreeJoin server. Once you have FreeJoin installed in your AC game, anyone with the password can join. There are 12 Group A cars and 12 DTM cars.

Yeah, you'd have to. It's bog ready to install. The benefit is more than the 24 set guys can then join, meaning reserves.

Actually putting the praccy server up with freejoin isn't a bad idea IMO.
Agree, I'll do that, half and half cars. Only problem is skins, but that's no biggie. Everyone on prac server will just have the default skin.

I don't know what the longer term plan is with pit boxes.

Can't get into the practice server.
Unfortunately the grid, limited to 24 spots is full again for this race, so you're on the reserve list unless someone is unable to make it. The practice server only has the main 24 drivers on the grid.

How did the race end up guys? I couldn't join as I've been away for work again.  Hopefully next week.

There were about 6 of us there.

We had one race in the Lotus 240R. Every new car takes a bit of getting used to, but it was fun, sliding about quite nicely. I learned that I am way slower than Bird in the hairpin - a fact which he kept reminding me of by ramming into the rear of my car there (accidentally!).

Then we tried a 10 lap race in the F40 stage 3. I think all of use were sweating by the end of that race.

No, it's a fictional track from netKar pro. It's the elevation changes and blind corners that are a bit tricky.

Yep, that's what's up now on the freejoin server.
