BTT ;D
Just thought I should bring this to everyones' attention, only 1 sleep to go. (I hope to be there, don't want to be square!)

5 cars to choose from, and after, over fifty laps in different cars, I cannot decide which car to drive, Tuesday Night Season machinations are nothing compared to this !!! ;D ;D ;D

I like the lotus

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for that BMW.
-
Had some fun racing. What stood out for me is the different driving styles required between the cars. The Alfa's smooth long drifts compared to the hyperactive BMW :) Maybe we should do sprint races with compulsory random car changes between races.
-
I did virtually the same times in the BMW and the Merc.

Spun lap 1 of race 1 due to the baby refusing to sit in front of the TV like I wanted him to and was around my feet ;D Wife then took him and had a fun race coming back through the pack. Second race started pole but lost the place to Tom after I went wide on the final turn of lap 1. Good chase after that but was no getting past without him making a mistake which he did not. Was a bit disconcerting sitting right on the tail of one of the DTM cars in the Lotus with it being so much lower. Could barely see a thing. Seemed to be able to brake a lot later in the Lotus allowing me to get right up behind in some places but just nowhere for a clean overtake.

Not having been near car wheel, sim or real for a week, (and being weak), found last night an enticement for the next season.
Did a couple in the Lotus, but spotted an old fav, the Merc, great fun, (wish it was 3 speed, man the gear shifts!).
The count down caught me out, but I was able to get on the tails quickly and then glide through on a turn 2 incident, then for the most it was trying to catch Denis, (I watched the replay, I have no idea what I was doing!! It looked a "wrecker" attempt, it shows me just turning in on you, man I got "the nuclear brain blues"!), very sorry Denis.
Almost my trademark down, shunting some one when the pressure is on, this time Dez you copped, sorry.
Loved the Mercedes, had a moment in around lap 7, it allowed me to recover, the off the ripple strip later, well that was not the car's fault :)
Started painting up my Merc, just in case, I hope to be on the up ready for next week's run and some practice in between.
Certainly enjoyed the visual mix of cars and the noticeable physics...

No need to apologize Bruce , it would have been my fault, my erratic speed and inconsistent line around that bloody hairpin (even after 50 laps) would make anybody run into the back of me !!
See you next week. :D
