Doobs, all okay, part of racing, my manager had no problems with the damage costs! :)

Thanks Bruce, but I still maintain it was a case of the Stupid.  :)

Not too sure if I should be commenting here, although I am probably the driver who is most involved in "overtakes" :)
I try to drive it like I own it, rather than stolen it.
(I have made plenty of mistakes though.)
Sorry for problems, I too fall into the "pain/pain killer fades".
Learnt how to defend better on the next reverse grid, great discussions, thanks.

Bruce, you do fine mate. You were doing a great job in race one until the knucklehead following you made a terrible judgement error and destroyed your race. Sorry again. I wouldn't mind copping a penalty for that either Wally. I screwed Bruce's race.

Other than my race one case of Stupid, I had the best meet I've done since NkPro. Had some good racing with Dion, Stan and pretty much the whole group. It was a pleasure to race beside Marty, Dave into the last chicane. Given my lack of overall pace they showed great patience in passing.

We've also never had a season in the Countach, RUF or GT40, or many other current cars. The Jap Pack is just interesting because it's the newest thing. The possibilities are endless...
We've also never run a season in the Lotus 25, 49, 72 or 98T, just single races. ;)

I'd never try dual install win7 win10 to be honest :)
It does NOT sound easy at all.

Nah, it SOUNDS easy Bird.........It just hasn't worked out that way.  lol  I'm only doing it for the free upgrade and to try it out. I think I'm committed to Win7 till 2020, but thought I'd try 10.

Sorry, I don't think I"m going to make it again. I just wasted three days trying to get a dual install of win7 and 10 going after a new build. You'd think it would be easy.
For reasons unknown to me Win7 installed itself twice with MBR instead of the GPT I though I'd done. The first time I spent a day and a half updating it before I realised it screwed me. :)

I think I should be right to go now but haven't whacked my wheel in and have done no practice. I may have time later but I think I'm out again.

Have a good race all

Darren

I'll leave you on the grid just in case Darren.
Thanks Wally

Nope, I don't like tintops much at all.

I posted in the post race thread but will repeat it here.
Sorry for the lack of notice and not showing up. I'm building a new PC and forgot about it completely.

So sorry for the lack of notice and not showing up. I'm building a new PC and totally forgot about it till a couple of hours ago. Probably a good thing for some. :)

Cheers Bird.

I know the importance of backups, but I've been lucky, and lazy.  It looks like I have another drive with errors too. Not happy. I reckon it has something to do with a power loss I had recently.

I don't know if I have enough spare drives to copy all the data onto. I plan on using HDD's which I'll store elsewhere in a cool dry vibration free environment for onsite, and find an online option for important files for off.

But I've been planning backups and OS streamline installs since I started with XP.  :)

I have Wally, but it's my working HDD Programs drive that is dodgy.  I've managed to copy most files apart from about 3 that must have unreadable sectors within them, and reduced the contents to just my Programs and Programs (x86) folders which unfortunately, is where I installed my Steam programs. I tried cloning with just that, and it has failed again due to unreadable sectors so it's the long road of re-install for me.
I was annoyed that the drive has failed, but it's where my TV recordings go so the drive would get flogged. I think I need a new strategy to manage my TV recordings

I was thinking I could reinstall windows while I'm at it, but I don't know if I want to go through that again.
I'll have it sorted shortly, am and thankful that it wasn't a cataclysmic failure...........because I've been meaning to do backups for the last 15 years and still haven't managed to get around to it.   :)

Sorry Wally, I didn't see this thread. Been busy getting pissed off with files not copying because that part of the drive has died.
Cheers

Sorry, I wanted to race but I've had (am having) a HD failure. Unfortunately it's my Steam install drive. Luckily I've managed to save all my important files but cant clone it because of errors so it's a re-install everything jobbie for me.

Sign me up please Wally.

I hope tonight goes well, and that you had a normal start, and it was clean.

Wally, your efforts are appreciated. Racing here in NkPro was easily the best league racing I've had.
Re: AC
I have not left yet, I just wasn't going to race while I was pissed off with wasting time practicing only to be knocked out of four races in a row due to other issues.  I almost raced tonight, but did no practice so it was not going to happen.

I hope to be toiling down the back next week.

Cheers
Darren
