Couple of bits of news.

Firstly a minor update to the MTX.

Quote
MTX1-03 v.1.0.8 released! Whats new? Skin by Eugene Markov and new driver model. Download and have fun!
Download: https://yadi.sk/d/09dDy-yPqzG4Y

As a refresher on what we are actually driving this season here is a summary:
Quote
Czech Formula Easter car. It was build in 1974. Engine – russian Lada-21011, gearbox – Skoda (4 gears).

Secondly, a new car from the same modders - Avia AE2 v0.9.5. Download: https://yadi.sk/d/3zvZ_bBNuGNKt

What is a Avia AE2 you ask? Well, and I quote,
Quote
Czech handmade Formula Easter car built by Vatslav Lim in 1978. It was victory weapon for international “Cup of Peace and Friendship” and czech formula cars championship. Engine – Lada-21011, gearbox – Wartburg (4 gears).

This is a little faster than the MTX and could be used to close up the field a bit especially at Brands this week???

Didnt try the new car as have been doing ok with the mtx. Feels like so much grip here compared to the other tracks. Can hit every curb too without unsettling the car.

Brands is one of the newest AC tracks. Maybe curbs are better defined?

Got out into second early on after GW and Gratulin went wide, then spent nearly the whole race alone, Ley was long gone.

Lap 21 or 22 or something (after Wally had got into 3rd) I lost concentration and put the back end out through turn 3 and had to pretty much stop to save it. That allowed Wally to close the gap a lot, then a couple of laps later I made a terrible line through turn 4 giving Wally a run up the straight. I went to give some room but Wally backed off.

Coming into the final lap Wally got me on the start/finish straight and that was that. Well done Wally.

Happy to have pretty much kept it together for that many laps, but also annoyed by the 2 mistakes which lost me the place, as although Wally was faster than me he'd have run out of laps :)

Great racing tonight even though I made a lot of mistakes. These cars are proving to be fun to drive on all the tracks. I was in the "C" car which maybe explains why I got GW on the line - better aero I reckon. Maybe next week people chose the "B", "C" or Avia based on desired pace?

It was great fun working back through the field. Lucky it was a long race, because passing required a lot of patience. It took a lap or two to pass people once I'd caught up to them.

Well done Ley on the win, miles out in front.

Great nights racing, especially with Grat, but think the results are wrong. Game showed Grat beat me by 1/100th of a second.

Firstly I have been distracted and not done enough practice on the combo!
I did like the GP track rather than the Indy course for a longer race, I would have gone balmy! Probably from being lapped.

I didn't matter what I did, I either gained time in the first half and lost it in the latter section or vice versa!  Thank goodness hornbag and I made similar mistakes/times had some challenging racing at the back of the field (again :) ).

The cars in the longer track worked.

Sorry for exiting with out a "bye your leave", but I was worn out and didn't want to interrupt your conversations.
Nice work Ley, a very decisive win!

Yes. Good driving Ley. How did you find the Avia? Seemed quick. You mentioned about 3sec a lap for you? Maybe you'll be joined by others next week  8)

From memory, I did 1:31s after only a few laps in the Avia, but was doing about 1:34s in the MTXc.
