Wow, mega commitment required around this one! With all these high speed flowing corners, we could see the return of the Truli train…I still think there is a lot of time to be gained in the first two corners and coming off them well will really set up a fast lap.

Yeah, it's a bit of a cojones test again, especially turn 2 down the hill.

Results are up - congratulations to Joe again. Just too fast in these cars!

Yep, I’m trying, I’m trying, don’t worry about that!  I just can’t seem to find that last three 10ths that Joe has in the death of qualifying to snare a pole! Perhaps I need to spend some more time practicing on light fuel instead of race fuel levels…..

Race 1 - After what felt like a very long red leight I made a meal of the start and then played a very long game of follow the leader with Joe. The margin fluctuated around 0.7 to 1.5sec but I unable to make the gap. From a far it looked like I was making time into turns 1-2  so I decided to have a big go into turn 1 on the final lap but I was too deep and then lost 3seconds.

Race 2 - changed my tyre pressures for the big temperature change and this was the wrong move, I simply couldn’t get full temp and so by the time I got up to second I was about 9s behind Joe. That said I had a very intense and enjoyable battle with Freezer for most of the race and Wally not too far behind me.

Race 3 - Finally made a reasonable start (this time!) and then got the most epic of tows down the long straight that despite forgetting to select 6th gear I was able to use the hill and brake into 1st place at the mega hairpin. From then on it was head down, pushing  hard doing qualifying laps as Joe tried to run me down. Every lap we both kept lowering the fastest lap mark fractions at a time, until Joe went to that level which I can’t find, well into the 13’s.  Eventually I was able to hang in for the win to spoil Joe’s whitewash…

I was driving way to hard trying to catch you in that last race and making too many mistakes in the process. I think the gap got up to 3 seconds at one stage. Was only towards the end of the race I seemed to get my groove back and closed the gap, but not enough laps left by that stage! Still you've been super fast and consistent all season; it hasn't made it easy.
