Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: S43R2 - Autodrom Most« on: July 20, 2022, 09:50:00 AM »Thanks Wally.Sorry for quitting, but I give up.Yes, that's a shame, but obviously it's all about having fun. If you ever want a race, you know where to find us Nah Freezer, just getting too old to continue doing something that has turned into an exercise of frustration, which is somewhat ironic because I started playing golf again a few months ago. Last night, I could barely complete a lap despite doing heaps without issue offline. I was about a second slower than I had been(still 2 seconds off the pace) just trying to stay in a straight line and still couldn't do it. Happens nearly every week in any car so I've just had enough. The fun times are too far in between.Sorry for quitting, but I give up.That's a shame doobs, is there something specifically that's not doing it for you!! 2

I thought you were on a secret saving tyres run because you were a bit slow (that's rich coming from me), and then towards the end of the straight you just drifted off the road like you'd fallen asleep, so it was no surprise to see you call it for the night. 6

Hope it stays solid for you, because these cars aren't bad to drive... I still cannot drive them. 8

If you need to keep your finger on it, I'd hot glue a paddle pop stick over it with something behind it to apply the pressure to the button, rather than fill the button. It's easier to remove and you should be able to fix it eventually when you find a button replacement.

Have you got a pic, maybe someone could come up with a lateral thinking solution that might prevent your extreme fix? How can it not be fixed with gaff or a zip tie? That's unpossible. I hope you get it fixed. 10

Hardware & Reviews / Re: HTC - Vive Before I try to flog it on Gumtree« on: April 03, 2022, 10:03:27 PM »I'll have to consult with my personal VR expert.I do not like to bag a product that someone is trying to sell, but resolution specs are low: It's not bagging if it's accurate Roo. I haven't bothered keeping up with the VR info because I won't be going into VR again unless it can be done without a headset so wouldn't have a clue. I wouldn't want someone to be disappointed, and I should be able to offload it on Gumtree. I just wanted to offer it here first in case anyone wanted it. Cheers Darren 15
Hardware & Reviews / HTC - Vive Before I try to flog it on Gumtree« on: April 01, 2022, 10:46:55 AM »
Hi,
My wife bought me a HTC Vive about 5 years ago. I've used it for about 15 hrs all up since I got it. I thought I needed it for sim racing, but should have known better because I get car sick. The best use I've got out of it was just sitting in a car and looking around because it does look pretty cool with the lighting and stuff. Anyway I've been meaning to sell it for years because I can't drive more than a couple of laps without getting nauseous, and even if I thought I was getting used to it, if the car suddenly stopped because I hit a wall or ditch I'd almost throw up instantly. It'll be going on Gumtree for $450 on the 15th April. It's the full retail kit: Headset, 2X controllers, 2XBase Stations, 1X link box and all the cables , power , and chargers. Still has the spare face foam. If anyone would like to purchase it please message me. $380. I'm in Ipswich near Brisbane. If no-one here wants it that's cool, I just wanted to offer it here first. Mods: If there's another area in the forums where this would be more appropriate please move it. Cheers Darren |
