Don't forget your CPU thermal paste is all I'll say.  Oh, and also makes sure you don't have all the fans blowing into the case - you need some blowing and some sucking, just like.....

The missing word is Marty, right?

Front and side fans are sucking, rear fan blowing. The heatsink had thermal paste pre-applied so just using that for now and temps seems pretty good. I made a layout for my keyboard LCD to give me temp data on CPU and GPU as well as FPS and a few other things.

Excellent stuff Joe, the joy of building a new rig!! Love it  :P

Now I just need some time for the joy of Assetto Corsa! I booted it up yesterday and fully maxed out the graphics settings to give it a go. Was getting fps dips into the mid 50's at spa which surprised me as I get a pretty constant 70fps on witcher 3 which is known for being GPU intensive.

What's the display at the top, if I may ask?

It's a fan controller, will speed up or slow down the fans based on the temperature, or you can manually override it. Seems to work okay, when I was running some GPU benchmarks last night I noticed it speeding the fans up as the temp went up then slowing them down again after.

Finally entered the realms of real PC gaming, no more of this gaming laptop nonsense. Hadn't build a gaming machine in about 15 years; graphics cards got really fucking big!

And don't worry about the vote Stan, at least we now know that nobody likes me  :'(  :P

Ha ha!! Yeah ain't that the truth!!  ;D
I was as pissed off as everyone else when it got voted through let alone put up in the first place. As if I've got time for the jokings when I'm doing the racings!! Me concentratings!!

I had another schweet night in the goaty mo beal!! Spent both races having an excellent duel with Matthew. Race 1, I tried my best to pressure him into an error, but he wouldn't budge and he got 2nd and I got 3rd.

Race 2, very similar to race 1. Got to the same point in the race, I pitted on lap 8 and Matthew pitted a lap later as we had in race 1. I'm coming down the straight and sure enough, there's Matthew coming out of the pits right on queue. But this time, I managed to get by him!! (I did put a little bit of goaty grease on his wheel guns after race 1...)
Then he had a little mistake which was all Bird needed to step up to the fight. After they got that sorted, Matthew started gaining on me and by the last lap or two, he was back on my rear bumper. Managed to hold him off and got 2nd this time and he got 3rd.

Brilliant nights racing, loved it!!

Doing the goats proud in my absence as always Stanley! Maaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!! Of the course the little dude was awake all evening on race night meaning I couldn't join, but this evening has been asleep since about 7pm!

Posted about this months ago, but was my Birthday on Sunday and the kids got it for me. (I may have told them I wanted it)

The level of detail is impressive.

CSGO and JC3 gave Steam codes. World of Warships is through wargaming.net and has a code too.

GB will send you the details for Warships.

You're a good kid GB. I'll have to stop believing all the shit Marty says about you.

I'd be keen for just cause if you don't want it dude

"yes dear, it is only one screen for games, yes I love you to have the old one for yourself... ohh yes I will sell my vintage surfboards to pay for it... " :)

Hmmm so this kind of thing never ends huh? *sigh* I just convinced my wife to let me borrow $1500 from our emergency fund to buy a new gaming PC, with the view of selling my current gaming laptop to cover some of the cost. Let's hope this thing sells!!

Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Season 10 Standings
« on: January 27, 2016, 07:02:10 PM »

My bad! I thought it was the practice race for some reason so I watched Lethal Weapon 4 instead completing the series over the long weekend  ;D Will aim to be there next week.

Ordered a new desktop rig yesterday so no more crappy laptop gaming for me, GTX 970 all the way yo!

Well done to Paul, driving the Lamborghini in both races, with the clear pace advantage, taking out both poles and both wins.
Stan had the fastest lap time in race 1, in the BMW Z4, while Michael F had the fastest lap in race 2, again in the BMW Z4.

Who is this Paul? Could he be a GB slayer?  :o
