Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights / Re: Ballast

That's a lot of seasons! Some of you guys have been doing this a long time huh!

1907
I'm going to disregard pit lane speed penalties as AC 1.3 broke apps' ability to tell when a car is in pit lane, until if and when we get an AC fix.

Does this mean last week's results will be adjusted?

Hopefully I'll do better in the first race this time! Must also work on braking later! Maybe need to try Phil's new setup, i have one from months ago...

-- ditto --

but I think the old setups will not work with the upgrades?

No idea, but some of these guys were braking so much later than me, so I'm hoping there is a new magic setup which allows later braking without the additional skill level  ;D

Apps / Re: Web Based Server Manager
« on: October 18, 2015, 10:19:35 PM »
Copy your server/content/cars directory to your server and overwrite any changes. As its existing cars you already have the additional stuff the web manager needs on there.

Would only be new cars or tracks where you need the batch file.

Did the presets functionality today, could just do with a few tweaks like confirming before overwriting, and saving the changes to a page before saving a preset.

thanks Joe.  I just noticed my AC server just updated on steam.  Do I have to do anything to update server ?

It depends what they updated, if they updated the server app itself you'd find your server would stop running. Mine still is so can't be that, so it could be car/track data. If that's the case you could find checksums with something they updated. To be on the safe side you could update the content folder, but you'd need to run my .bat file first. I'd just leave it for now, if you find you change your server to some combo causing a checksum just update it then :)

Made a few changes to the web manager this arvo:

Bug fix when switching between two tracks with multiple track configs
Added Max Ballast and UDP Plugin fields to Advanced page
Added new setting for contentPath allowing server and content folders to be separated (this happens when using a manager package from the kunos tool). If this setting it left empty it will assume the content folder is inside the server folder

Thursday Nights fun racing / Re: Post Cobras at Imola
« on: October 16, 2015, 10:05:45 AM »
I actually enjoyed practicing on MAM before we switch it over to Imola, my gap to Phil was certainly a lot less at MAM  ;D

R1 for me was awful, think I spun off 3 times in the first lap. Eventually caught up with to Bruce with a lap to go them spun off a again. A race worth forgetting.

R2 was much better, think I came 4th. Some of you guys were definitely braking a lot later than me, but I can't see how! I have to brake early and light, gradually increasing pressure to keep the thing in a straight line.

Hey Phil, did you post your setup anywhere? I'm using full stock, but would be keen to see if your setup can improve anything :)

Solid night for the Goats, both of us in the top 5 race 2 was the highlight!! ;D

Unfortunately with my penalty I ended up 6th and you took 3rd.
Yeah but that's just Wally's dark voodoo abacus tricks, we got it in race reality!! ;D

True 'dat, I don't want my penalty taking way from me what was easily my best race to date. Meeeeeeeeeh!

Damn, looks like I lost 2 positions due to the pit speed penalty :( very very very slow for next race then. I guess we'll never know if Stan sped into the pits as he wasn't running PLP ;)

Good night for the Goats!

Q1 I couldn't get my shit together at all either spinning off or getting held up. Went from 18th to 15th in they dying seconds. Managed to avoid all the carnage at the start of R1 and ended up in 7th behind my teamy Stan. Wasn't really anyone behind so just took it easy until lap 9 where I see somebody in my mirrors. Wait for the straight... look back... oh shit, it's Jeremy! 2 laps left, can I hold him off... Picked up my pace a little, but he was closing. He got a better exit before the hill into the last chicane and got on my inside; made sure I gave plenty of room, would rather loose one spot than take us both out, so ended up in 8th.

R1 started 3rd on the grid I think, Will got past we then spun off so back into 3rd with Jeremy in front and Freezer behind. I had a pretty decent gap on Freezer but he was still there. Pitted after lap 11 I think, hesitated a bit with tyres due to sometimes forgetting to change them in the past. then came out with Stan behind me. Where's Freezer? Huh... I can't even see him... must have had a super quick stop! Rest of the race with Stan behind me getting through the back markers then with a couple of laps to go.. there's Freezer! Last lap I got pretty close to him through the last chicane, then got a good line through the following lefts right on his tail through the second one then put the power down but couldn't quite get him before the line. Awesome race!

Go Goats!
