The GTC is about 2.5 seconds a lap faster in the wet conditions, and it's tyres grain about half as much. Now to find a way to sneak into a GTC without Wally seeing me.
Or you can always pray for no rain.

I just did a speed test of my hotel connection in Osaka Japan, I would prefer this over my home connection which is fairly lame in comparison. 
You should have taken your wheels and pedals and hooked them to your phone for the next race.

As of right now, the forecast for 10am Tuesday is "pissing down", so I've set the practice server to that.
13:00 is looking 14 degrees and damp.

So just to confirm Wally, we will be using the weather settings as on the prac server (so same graining)? I plan on doing some setup work tonight 
Take a look at Tuesday's weather forecast in the first post. At this stage, race 1 is cold and damp; race 2 is dry. That's part of the fun of using the real weather - you don't know exactly what you're going to get until race day. Also look at their track temp chart. Yes, track temp can be around 15 degrees in real life. Maybe you'll have to use harder tyres. Do you want to see what the graining is like on hards with a very cold track?

When I first heard about the server plugin concept, I thought it could put some extra load on weaker servers that they could do without. It might be unfounded, but a plugin has to do all this extra work, for each player, centralised in one place. At least player-side apps spread any work to everyone's PCs, for just that one player.

In the last couple of wet rounds, I couldn't flatspot the GX tyres, but it was a bit warmer. So in general, the low grip might not wear the tyres all that much.

Is there a graining app or something you can load up to see this graining happening?
I'm still unsure about that part of the tire black magic happening...
You can see it in the built in ”physics” app.

Was zero track temp this morning... 
I just checked the server config, and the two track temps are either 14 or 25, so I don't know where that zero came from. I'll take the graining into account, GB. Stupid graining.... *Homer Simpson voice off*

For some reason when I try searching for this app on the Google store it doesn't come up. I've done "AC Server browser" and "Assetto Corsa" and not finding it.
Not sure how searches work on the Google Play store, but might be worth optimising it eventually?
I found it under "Assetto Corsa", but not "AC server browser". I'm not sure why it's not showing for you. Thanks for the ratings guys, by the way.

Is the favourites list dependent on the IP address of the server, or the name? So what changes for the favourite to disappear?
Currently its the name, but I'll change it to IP address and port number, because names change.

I tried a race on one of their rackservice.org servers last night and it was a warp-fest. I seemed to be pretty solid but many of the other cars were warping all over the place.
Interesting. Do you think it was just you warping? That would be the case of everyone else warped at the same time.
