For the next season, I'm looking for a rookie/privateer kind of vibe, at the lesser Aussie tracks. A couple of cars I have in mind for a poll are one of Seanus's formula fords, and the Toyota AE86 Tuned. The Toyota might seem like an odd choice, but I remember a good fun run we had with close racing in the video.

Got any ideas for a 3rd option? I'm thinking something like the Mazda Mx5 Cup, or the Abarth 500.

I'll vote for the old school Toyota 8)

Formula (insert series here) will always get my vote....... ;)

No thanks, already having problem with house batteries going flat. No need to simulate it :P

Formula E?
Even the worst formula car is better than a tin top (but Formula E is trying really hard to change my mind on that :P )

Did an online race in the MX5 last night and they are pretty good. A do like the formula ford idea though!

I've not driven either car but the sound of a no aero Formula Ford season sounds rather attractive

This is the AE86 that I was yammering on about last night. It drives super well, and arguably is a bit better to race with than the tuned Kunos AE86 (although that would be great fun too!)

An alternative could be the TCL mod with the RX3, 911 etc.
Formula cars can be great fun also provided they aren't massively aero focused

I'll take a look at that Toyota mod. Sometimes that modder doesn't have LODs for his mods, which hits performance. A formula ford would be Legion's (Seanus) Van Diemen formula ford, no aero.

His 1995 ATCC mod looks rather interesting...provided each time you drive the #18 at Phillip Island you don't have a mega crash at the Hayshed ;D

Formula sounds good...for a change.
Why not something fast? I'd go for the Ferrari F2004...maybe 3 short sprints.
Only downside is, it's got a bit of downforce...nah, that's a good thing ;)

Sadly, the mod doesn't have LODs.
