But I felt I was still getting quicker and quicker on Silverstone...Monza was just so frustrating as it was so unforgiving on mistakes... But yeah happy days... I loved the GRA until I was relegated to DTM, but now I've really warmed to the DTM... Mediums didnt last much better then softs.Looking at the RSR times the difference is a little less at Nurburgring, 3 seconds between the cars. At Silverstone it was 2 seconds (also much shorter lap) but Monza was 4 seconds so that was probably the track with the biggest gap between them. Nurburgring should be a bit more fun and on the hard DTM vs Medium grpa in Race it may be a bit closer so I think the group A's will have more of a fighting chance this time. Re: Round 4: Nurburgring Chat « Reply #8 on: June 25, 2014, 04:06:39 PM » Gentlemen, Marty, I imagine the more twisty the track the quicker tires will wear? So Nurburgring will chew the mediums up quicker?I also think the DTM advantage will be a lot less due to the twisty bits. The time difference between both cars at WR pace is about 4 seconds. So naturally, after 10 laps in a 'perfect lap race' you could be 40 seconds in front.. I hope I did the math right. Also less twisty bits means less chance of getting something wrong. so Monza really amplified any advantage the DTMs had.I'm sorry you just missed out on the DTM Marty! Maybe I will just need a helicopter ride from the Tullamarine airport on Tuesday night. It is one of my Favourite tracks but have never driven this car there.I actually just double checked my flight and lands in Melbourne at 7:30pm and Im about 45 min to 1 hr from the airport so dont like my chances. I may need to give the round a miss and let a reserve drive for Achilles heel this week. Maybe we could put Darren in on a trial basis for the week. « Last Edit: June 25, 2014, 05:52:55 PM by marty » Logged Glen73 Administrator Full Member Posts: 898 Karma: 32 Re: Round 4: Nurburgring Chat « Reply #13 on: June 25, 2014, 06:21:10 PM » Quote from: Guybrush Threepwood on June 25, 2014, 05:39:33 PMCan I suggest if anyone wants to practice they use the practice server... the more the merrier!
