Title: Race Studio 2
Post by: Phil.8 on June 29, 2016, 10:29:00 PM
Just wondering if anyone uses this to look at the telemetry and if so does it hard to use,  my dashboard software comes with basic telemetry but was interesting in learning a bit more about stuff like suspension travel and yaws and slip angles

I have used it. I'll put up some info about it. It's not as tremendously useful as you might think. TheThe telemetry that AC puts out is somewhat limited.

Agreed.
If it gave ride heights then I could do aero maps for the cars, but it doesn't. :(

I don't know how far you've got with it, Phil, and I'm talking purely from memory here, so this might be a bit vague. Or very vague :)

You open the telemetry_dump.act file that gets dumped into Documents\Assetto Corsa\aim, and then save it as a .drk file when Race Studio prompts you to save it. That adds your telemetry to a list of tests. Then you double-click a test to open it. You can select your fastest lap, then click on the measures down the side such as speed, suspension travel etc to plot them.

That's about as much as I remember off the top of my head. I don't know if you got that far or not. I think there's an old thread on this forum about it.

Here's some threads:
