So you'll be cruising the hills and valleys if Italy on holidays with the wife side saddle on the back, scarf blowing in the breeze, (your wife's scarf that is), and an alfresco lunch over looking Gina Lollabridgada's cliff top mansion.

The wife will most likely drive the car to join him for the lunch ;)

I miss my old Honda MT 250 E (Elsinore) now, even though I basically had to carry around a spare carby kit with me and it like to stop up the steepest slipperiest clay hills possible , and its throttle went fast forward or backwards, that sorted my mates out when it came to stopping lol, watching them try to stop but ending up on the back wheel and on the ground is always funny :)

Ahhh good ole XT and TT 500's, they had a compression kick back like a stubborn old mule on roids!! ;D
-
The only Jap bike I can think of that had a decompression lever. Pulled many a mono on my old TT....

You should try Tuscan steaks then, my friend. Proper tradition is for the animals to be pastured exclusively on Augusta and Gilera, or in rare cases Moto Guzzi bikes. The claim being that their famous taste is a result of this ancient custom.

Sort of looks like mine ;D
Glad the passion is still there.

My first bike was a 250 two stroke from the early 80's that was a great old girl. Your 500 must fly. Keep the pictures coming of updates etc.
