Assetto Corsa / My Nvidia, SteamVR, AC, CSP and OpenXR settings
« on: December 15, 2023, 12:16:47 PM »
Here is a document that I use to record my settings that I run.  Thought I would share it for anyone that is looking at running VR and how to set it up to run at a constant 90fps and look pretty.  With these settings I maintain 90fps 99% of the time.

Also happy to take suggestions if you find any settings that you think I should modify!

Have any of you guys had experience with these cars?  Maybe a recruiting season running these cars on some classic australian and NZ tracks?  I could do up a flyer if we did up a schedule and post it on some facebook groups to potentially recruit a few folk?

I haven't had a look at them (I've downloaded them) have any of you guys had any experience with them?   Didn't know if there is anyone would get their knickers in a knot if we ran with them, I'm sure Seanus would know.

Thursday Nights fun racing / Season XX - Alfa vs Lancia
« on: March 09, 2022, 07:19:08 PM »

FYI just thought you guys would be interested, I'm going to have a crack at installing some tactile transducers under my chair so I can feel the rumble, gear change thump etc.  Apparently it goes very well for a VR setup. I thought I would document the install and parts list if it benefits anyone else.

I've gone the cheaper DIY option rather than forking out for the buttkicker, and the below setup is going to be alot easier to expand if I want to.

I just ordered
- 2 x Dayton Audio BST-1 bass shaker transducers ($180 for 2 delivered)
- 1 x 24V/10A power supply ($29 delivered)
- 2 x 100W Mono channel TPA3116D2 amplifier boards ($26 delivered)
- 4 x 40mm x 40mm Female/female isolation bobbins for my sim chair  ($42 delivered)

When I get it I'll make a little box up, so should be able to do the whole install for <$300, and that will be 2 x transducers.

Will update when I get the parts / start the install.

Thursday Nights fun racing / New working from home station
« on: September 27, 2020, 07:50:40 PM »
I was inspired to build myself a new desk and integrate a sim racing rig for those long days when I have to work from home.

All prepped up for when the Hp Reverb G2 arrives.

Thought I'd share a few pics.  Pretty happy with the outcome, all up with the materials and seat (all electric controls), was $650.   Was hard to figure out the ergonomics though it feels bloody comfortable compared to my old setup, and the electric seat provides a lot of adjustment.

Assetto Corsa / Confirmation on AssettoCorsa.net forum
« on: June 17, 2020, 05:30:59 PM »
Hi all,

Sorry, I suppose this is a bit of a weird spot to put this question, though I've been trying to sign up to the https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum for a few weeks now, but they won't send me the confirmation email.

I've done the obvious things, checking spam filters on the server and spam folders, definitely not receiving it.  I even linked it to my facebook account and it registered as the same email address.

Are there any admins on the assettocorsa.net forum in XGN that could help me out?  I've tried contacting the assettocorsa forum but didn't receive a reply.

Thanks for any help all.
