It was good fun when I could actually keep the thing on the road, felt like I was driving on ice half the time. I worked out why I couldn't launch it, I was running 15PSI all round to try and get some temperature in the tires which only helped a little, but made it so it would just bog down on the start pretty much every time.

Race 2 on turn 2 lap 1 some people went off ahead of me, no big deal but when I got to the corner one of the people, In a P4/5 didn't catch the name was re-entering the track
What colour P4 . . . . . there was only two of us . . . . I did get hit early in the piece but I dont recall this!!!

They were both black weren't they, I think it might have been you just based on the fact that you were behind me for the first few laps. What happened may have been different to what I recall happening. It may have even been you getting rebounded back on to the track from a hit or something, but from where I was it looked like you came all the way from the right side to the left side and I went to sneak up the left as you started on the right about a car length in front of me but by the time you go to the other side of the track we were pretty much side by side.

If only we could watch that part of the replay because I would really like to know what happened because I was really confused at the time as to why a car seemed to be cutting across the track to be in front of me.

Race 1 went well for the first 3 corners, then I was just sticking to my side of the track coming around turn 3 watching the cars on my right, leaving plenty of room then when I look more straight ahead of me there was Marty sitting on the track, and I just panicked and slammed on the brakes and hoped for the best, but in doing that all the wheels locked so there was no way I would of been able to turn away even if I had thought of it in my panic, I probably could of got around if I didn't lock the brakes or panic.

When It first happened I thought I didn't hit Marty and when I got rear ended I hit him but upon watching the replay I gave him a reasonable knock before getting hit myself, which resulted in me having a yellow front splitter and red rear wing and broke wind shield witch doesn't really bother me as much as it seems to bother some other people.

 then I just started lapping and a couple laps later me and some one else had a bit of side bumping action which left me with pretty much red from the front to the rear around the left side of my car, So I just drove it home hoping to get as many points as possible.



Race 2 on turn 2 lap 1 some people went off ahead of me, no big deal but when I got to the corner one of the people, In a P4/5 didn't catch the name was re-entering the track and just kept moving left until we eventually collided with me right on the left side of the track just as the road straightened out and at least one person behind got caught up in it as well which left my car with orange damage all round, I thought that was a pretty unsafe re-entry to the track but there is no footage of it to be reviewed due to the replay size limit.

Then I ended up in front of GWyar and we had a good battle until I pit then I ended up behind him after he pit and we battle some more both having a few minor mistakes here and there but then I ended up make a big enough boo boo to put me in the gravel which left me a fair way behind, which actually wasn't bad for me as I again didn't do so well on the fuel front so I just drove around saving fuel, but GWyar must of got a PLP or something because he came of the pits just ahead of me with 3 or 4 laps to go and I just hunted him down. We went side by side almost all the way from about turn 5 to about turn 8 on the last lap where we bumped a little and GWyar ended up sliding off.

Looking at the replay I could of left more room and it looks like GWyar was just a bit fast to make the corner where we could of not hit. Then I just brought it home finishing with 0.1 laps worth of fuel left.

Ah, so the race is tonight was just going to come and check about that because the title says the 13th which is actually Saturday and was a bit confused but that clears it up.

R1 - Was quite an interesting start

the rest was pretty standard.

R2 - I would of liked to do the racing start because from the first 2 we did I seem to get the jump on a couple people but oh well, after that just settled in and kept in on the track, my fuel usage at the start of the race said a full tank was going to get me 13.7 laps so I thought I would do something different and pit early unlike the last few races where I pit as late as possible but, thinking about it now I think I might of put enough fuel for 9.5 laps when I should of taken enough for 10.5 laps. After the pit stop I was chancing Bacchulum with Dave O on my tale running in 9th or 10th and realized I didnt have enough fuel with about 7 laps to go, and thought I'm just going to push it and hope I can get a big enough gap to Dave O that I can just bring it home slowly but with about 4 laps to go I realized that wasn't going to work Mini Apps said I was about 1L short so I cut back changing early and hoped I could maintain a decent gap but still fuel save but, that didnt work so I went to even more fuel saver mode and came around the last corner on the second last lap and Wally was right behind after Dave O made a little mistake and I was going super slow to save fuel and he just ran right past me down the straight, I was pretty sure he was going to brake earlier than me and when he did it just went now what and ended up on the grass on the out side and spun and ended up in 13 or 14th and just went max fuel saver but still wasn't enough and only made it to the straight before the last corner before I ran out of Fuel but one very kind person who I cant remember there name pushed me across the line.

TL;DR: ran different pit strategy, didnt fuel save when should of, ran out of fuel before finish.

Was hoping for 2 top 10 finishes tonight but R1 didn't go so well from the start and I would most probably have gotten 8th in the second race if I had enough fuel to push to the end.

I think it would be cool if we could have different meet types like in the V8SC one week we do 3 short spring races another we do 2 medium length races and another where there is 1 short race and 1 long race, just an idea I had and thought I would throw it out there.

I found this a couple weeks ago and tested it out and it, atleast to me seems to work pretty well, but I cant find the link to the download anywhere but I have uploaded it to dropbox if you want to test it out.

Hopefully we can run it in a fun run some time because it is fun to drive.

I managed a 2:19.4 with softs and low fuel after loosing about half a second or so on the chicane at the end, so I will hopefully be able to put down a decent lap in quali and still have decent race pace.

Just did a few laps around Spa with the 599 and BMW.

Managed a 2:19.0** in the 599 and a 2:20.4** in the BMW with more in both cars if I could put in together better, Probably more gains in the BMW than the 599 at this stage, might change as I'm close to the BMW WR than I am to the 599 WR.

Currently Marty and Guy have times around the 2:20 mark in the Evora GTC but that will probably change once they really go for it.

I have managed to get in to the 2:19s at some stage in the MP4 12C, 458 GT2 and the M3 GT2 at some stage since 1.0 came out but they were set before about RC 1.0.5 and it feels like the grip level is different now but it might not be.

So the 599 isn't really a massive advantage to me unless I put in a lot of practise and get a decent amount better but, It looks like the lap times around going to be closer around spa than they were around Mugello for me at least.

From what happened tonight it seems racing behind the 599 isn't very fun and to be honest racing in it wasn't that great either because you just fly past people on the straights and end up getting swamped in the corners if you make a mistake. I'm pretty sure the only times I was passed by people who weren't in 599s was when I made a mistake, even with some of the best guys like Marty and Ed chasing they just couldn't get past me.

I don't mind being in a slightly slower car I should still be competitive with some one, I doubt I will be much slower, I might even be faster because the car is easier to handle. I will do some laps tomorrow in the BMW and the 599 around spa and see what kind of times I can get.

Well I'm pretty happy with my results,  I thought from what I was seeing with the laps times people were getting that I was going to finishs dead last both races but, Me and GWyar were pretty even both races, and I finished mid pack both races.

I think there would be better racing if there were no 599, I doubt I would have been much slower if not faster if I had one of the GT2 cars because I find them easier to drive than the 599, I wouldn't mind not being even with the front runners if it meant I could race other people in the field, not just fly by them on the main straight and just drive the rest of the track and repeat.

In the Evora my qualy trim is 1:46.7 with maybe another .5 to gain or so and just get inside the WR maybe.

With those kinds of times you might as well drive in reverse, you will still probably beat me. The best I've managed in the 599 is a 1:51.160, RSR has me at a 1:51.818. I just cant get the thing to go around corners at more that what feels like 8km/h.
