I have the server up and all latest downloads but I can only get onto the track with the bmw, the others comes up with an error of  no available slots, what ever that means.
We might want new cars picked out unless someone knows how I fix

The car lineup is BMW,FordGt40, andPorsche906 we may as well drop the Lambo Count as it is too slow. The ballast for the BMW should be set at 400kg although at this track it maybe too much, maybe Slideways could tell us his times in the BMW and we can go from there.

Are you adding too many cars compared to the grid limit of the track? Or maybe the mods your using are showing their quality and attention to detail of such awesome content. Im sure if the creator doesnt even bother to see if the mod works I am sure all other aspects are set to the same high finishing standards. ;D

Yes, you do not have to download these cars.
It is the same lineup as we had with Brno , minus the Lambo , for some reason the mod works perfectly offline but not online.

I downloaded it too, but it does not show up in your offline track selection, I have had this before, the track is old and probably not compatible
with the latest version of AC. The version I wanted is Eastern Creek 2014 available from NoGrip but u need to be a member. I need to find another download location or pick another track. There is no rush Phil we will fix as soon as we can, enjoy your weekend.

Phil,

I think we used the Rainmaker version of Eastern Creek previously. Link doesn't seem to be on RaceDepartment anymore. All Rainmaker tracks are here:

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/y3gywz4wp7c52/Public_files

Download link is called "Eastern Creek Raceway 2014 v3.43 a R1CHO by Rainmaker.7z"

This track version is much better and more up to date that the aspec7878 version.

Strangely enough the 2014 version was the the track I initially had in mind, but after using the current version I think it is better for these cars and the historic aspect of this season. I also think it flows better than the 2014 version and after some work on a Ford GT40 setup I have been able to set very close times in all three cars in the 1m 47s region, which now means this race open to win from anyone of the thee contenders !
I do not believe this would be the case with the 2014 version. I have appreciated your positive comments on the season so far Gratulin.
I will post my three setups later today.

Interesting to see the difference. Been practicing on the 2014 and managed to get into the 39's with no ballast. Still way more time to be had. Will try this version later this morning.

Thanks Slideways.
The porsche is capable of close to that I think, also GT40 in the right hands, I guess we will just leave as is and wait till race night.
Here are my setups for the three cars. GT40 is good but still a handfull, 906 is near perfect ;D and I wish the BMW was a bit slower, included free of charge is a full tank.

will put some laps in tonight, hope the GT40 suits me... (I was secretly hoping the Jag was in :) )

The GT40 is the most difficult to drive and the slowest. Porsche or BMW is safer choice.  8)

...threw away my home made sim frame and have a fixed desk in a spare room...
I have a similar setup. To stop the pedals and chair sliding around especially when braking I came up with a simple pedal platform that also anchors the chair legs. I cut a piece of mdf to 1mx0.5m and attached some furniture legs to the bottom. The legs are long enough to allow the desk chair legs to hook underneath so that the chair does not slide backwards (I have a wheelie office chair). Then I bolted the pedals onto the mdf. One advantage of the raised platform is the driving position is better because your legs are now more horizontal due to the height f the platform. I got the furniture legs from Bunnings ("Leggz").

Can you post a photo of that?

I have a large mat under the desk,  and glued some rubber backing to the base of the pedals so they don't slide at all with the friction.  I took the wheels off the office chair and replaced them with sliding casters that grip pretty well on the mat, but then you lose the benefits of the wheels for other uses, and it does make the chair a bit lower.

That is a standard carpet square on top from Bunnings. It is probably not necessary to reverse mount the pedals like here. You could just mount them direct to the platform.

Started practice and thought my settings were all stuffed up, reset, reset reset still the BMW was like driving a Bedford truck with flat tyres, then I tried another car, it's the BMW that's heavy!
Gt40 too slippery,  the porsche I can keep on the track thank goodness,  see you there,
PS thanks for the setup.

Yeah I feel exactly the same. Never drove the bm before the balast was added? That may be contributing to the poor feel the bm gives.

I think you might have some "unusual" ffb settings slideways. From what you mentioned to me the other night you have slip effect at 150% and Logitech profiler also with spring effect etc at 100%? That might explain different car feel?

I cut the spring back to zero and doesn't feel much different to me. It was actually rooshooter that put me onto the "slip effect" tweaks from back at Longford in the Sierra's. Since then I've used different settings for every car I've raced.

In the Beemer I had to drop way down to 40. Could hardly turn the wheel @ 80

Not saying what is right or wrong here - just to explain different feel of cars between people's rigs.

My settings for Logitech Profiler and AC Controller/Advanced are attached. Degrees of rotation are set to 900 is both Logitech Profiler and AC Controller. I then use FFBClip app to adjust ffb for each car. Most of the AC cars are correct already and increasingly the better mod cars are also correct.

Yep, changed my profiler to that last week and in game most is the same, only the gain and slip effect changes from car to car.

Just tried the BMW and using FFBClip and the Force Feedback Controller ingame app I set FFB to 32%. Porsche 906 is set to 154% and Ford GT40 is set to 87%.

That was an awesome night's racing. Race 1 was great to get a win but race 2 was the most intense fun I've had on track for a while. Gratulin almost pulled off the drive of the night though. Great racing everyone.... ;)

Was an awesome nights racing,  and the more I drive the gt40 and play with setup the more I like it, would make a good season sometime I think

Yes. That turned out pretty good fun. Race 1 was turning out to be a hot lap session for me until AJ decided to pit and ended up behind me. I managed to hold him off for the last few laps. All I remember of Race 2 is slideways headlights in my rear mirrors!!!!

It was pretty interesting between the BMW and Porsche. The Porsche had to brake early and gently but could power out of the corners faster than the BMW due to the ballast in the BMW. So I could hold off the Beemers but once they were ahead the Porsche couldn't keep up.

Race 1 ended up a bit of a lonely hotlapping session, but still fun in the GT40.

In race 2 I got turned around from behind, when someone else was starting to spin in front of me. That put me to the back of the pack, but I eventually caught up with the GT40's of Phil and Rob, and I think it was Humper in front of them. I managed to get on the end of the train, but only passed Rob after he spun.

I certainly wouldn't mind a season of the GT40's. It was one of the options I put up for the Tuesday night poll.

Just my F***ing  luck, halfway through qualify my internet went down, not to return till this morning!!!  It really pleases when at least a few people really enjoy the racing, which is the intention of the car and track selection in the first place.

Congratulations to Slideways on the wins and the other podium finishers, it looks like I missed a pretty good night :'(

See you next week for the final round.

I had a ball, with Wally in.front and Rob behind, there were always chance for the the 3 of us, but came home in that order.
Like the porsche, a good selection for the track, and once again great to have a mixed field.
Bad luck roo, crap timing.

It's ture Roo. Phil was on radio so much in race 2 trying to work out if anyone knew what had happened to you, he forgot about driving the car. Right up until the last lap flag where he decided drop the hammer.

Also noticed in the results Phil seems to be everyones rival! It's Phil vs. the world  ;)

Don't worry mate. Both political parties have promised to fix the NBN.

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG

Just watched the footage for race one, Humper was pushing me for the first 7 laps, he and I had maintained the same gap, not sure why you didn't get passed me, you were getting the apex on just about every corner... I think if you hadn't caught the edge mid race,, we would have still be in the same position at the flag.

Yeah don't think I was ever getting past you Bruce as you had a much better handle on the 906's sensitive brake pedal. I may have been on the apex but it was probably only through early braking and low corner speed in fear of getting it catastrophically wrong. I do remember seeing you with a locked brake mid corner and wondering how you were able to get away with it. Good work anyway I thought you drove it well.

thanks Humper, and I took the gamma out of the brakes to direct linear, with the gamma set I just locked the front or the rear no matter where is set the brake balance, so a last minute desperation change between qual and race worked.
I did like seeing the the lockup smoke mid corner, the trail braking made a huge difference, removing the "Fear Factor" :)
