Kart for Season 44
« on: September 20, 2022, 09:23:46 PM »
These are the pick of the three karts we've tried.

Arrow IAME X30 Super (single gear)
Shifter Kart 125cc
Superkart 250cc

My take on them is that the Arrow is the hardest to drive, quite sensitive steering and can be snappy, but feels good when you get into the rhythm of it. (PSI: 12/12)

The Superkart is "easier" to drive, very fast, quick reactions needed. Circuits would be more open and flowing to allow for the greater speed. (PSI: 20/24)

Shifter Kart is "middlish" - easier to drive, easier to control, feels very natural to me, more kart-like. (PSI: 12/12)

All three are up on the practice server if you want to give them a go. I would reduce caster to around 10 to make the steering feel less sensitive.

Kart season on Kart tracks I've voted for Shifter Kart.

I reckon a season of Super Karts would be best suited to pretty much any track not just mid sized. They top out at 240 kph which is a lot faster than quite a few of the cars we've driven.

Both KZ Class Karts updated.  version 20220921

(That's the SMS Vortex ROK Shifter and the Tony Kart IAME Screamer III)

Fixes last nights odd behaviour with the Tony Kart and the tyre bug with the SMS, plus other tweaks including Camber, as it turns out, is adjustable.

I've opened up signups for a season in the 125 cc shifter kart here.

Ditto for today Versions 20220923

And to add to the confusion I have swapped the engine name as I discovered Tony Kart owns Vortex.
