I might have to check this out too. This reviewer would seem to be the same LetsTestDrive (Rob) that raced with us a bit.
Yeah,... what happened to him? He was a nice guy to race with...
Sorry guys, life got in the way, and with me occasionally busting out rF2, Automobilista, and iRacing too, I just haven't had the time to practice enough to be competitive when it comes to league racing  AS FOR AUTOMOBILISTA: I've been having a bit of casual fun recently in the weekly time trials Reiza promote. I wonder if Guybrush or Marty could take a weekly win  As for news, Reiza will be releasing a legendary track pack featuring the 1988 and 2016 Adelaide street circuit. This should be a lot of fun with the F1 cars, and V8 supercars. Oh and the stadium supertrucks. You can't foget the stadium supertrucks.  [youtube]Ttr9Mlt_VZk[/youtube]

Why is there no ABS and TC for the GT2s and the Maserati?
It's to make them a little more error prone, so there's more chance of mistakes and catching up etc.
I'm already error prone enough as it is

I'd suggest MagicISO Virtual CD/DVD (it's free) and it's what I use! Now if you have windows 10, disregard this post, as it's not supported. I think Daemon Tools Lite is free and supports Windows 10. http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-magicdisc-overview.htmOnce installed, just right click the MagicISO icon in your system tray, select->Virtual CD/DVD-Rom-> H: No Media -> Mount -> Select your ISO file and viola. Done

That OSRW safety car app would be interesting to look at.
OSRW released a virtual safety car app a few weeks ago, and this one doesn't need anyone driving the safety car. I think it's awesome, even just to add a small intermission/variety to the race. [youtube]h7V0lrTSDrs[/youtube]

Well damn, what do ya know, neither the CSL elite wheelbase or the Clubsport V2 wheelbase are direct drive.

I think I'm gonna wait until the full reviews are out for the new Fanatec CSL Elite range. If I was gonna spend 700-800 anyway, maybe it's worth the few hundred extra. It does look pretty nice.
I've also been keeping an eye on this myself. Inside Sim Racing have done a good initial impression video on it and it seems amazing (minus the broken thread). Direct drive and load cell for around 1g?  With that being said Thrustmaster are releasing a direct drive wheel for Gran Turismo Sport in a few months.  Personally myself I'm thinking of doing a few cheap mods on my G27, like the spring upgrade and steering wheel adapter + new steering wheel. They say change is as good as a holiday, and a few cheap tweaks on my G27 might extend it's lifespan a bit

Race 1:
I started mid pack and somehow managed to thread myself through the first few corners into 2nd place behind Insomniac. He managed to keep a consistant 2-3 second gap from me for the remainder of the race as we opened up a large gap from the rest of the pack. No idea how I finished second but that was my best placing so far with XGN!
Race 2:
I had Mael in the Supra baring down on me from the start, until a few laps later when he tried to out brake me into the slow chicane and over shot it. A few laps later he eventually managed the overtake but then went wide onto the grass and I got the position back. Unfortunately that was the last I saw of him. My tires were really struggling for grip in the last few laps as Edwood and Jeremy were gaining on me fast. It went down to the last lap and last corner as I barely held them off to the finish line. Another lap and it would have been all over.
Race 3:
I was dicing with Grat which let the GTRs of Wally/Bacchulum/Marty catch up, until it got really hairy into the last corner with Wally & Grat coming together.
Bacchulum eventually managed the overtake but didn't really pull away as I tried my best to hold Marty up. Bacchulum unfortunately got loose into the turn 1 chicane and spun, which caused me to lift slightly to avoid him. That small lift gave Marty the advantage into the next corner and that was it.
